I fly a POW/MIA flag both at home AND at work, and fly them proudly, not just as an abstract symbol, but with meaning.

Those who know me have a pretty good idea why.

I will ALWAYS fly one. Anyone who doesn't like it can kiss my Patriotic ass!

Good men gave up so much so that we may be Free.
Dead, alive, or missing, they ALL deserve our remembrance, and most of all, our RESPECT.

You don't have to love us, or even like us...but we EARNED your respect.

NEVER FORGET.

Freedom has a Price. Blood, Pain, and Loss. Some of us willingly put ourselves in harm's way for Freedom. I'd do it again.

These morons who cry "Racist!" choose to enjoy the fruits of our sacrifices and bitch about how "bad" we are, or call us "crazy, government programmed killers", or spit on us when we come home. Little do they know how far wrong they are.

Some of these proud heroes are GONE, never to return. I have friends that came home, but can not let go of the horrors they experienced. In a way, they're still there sometimes. Good men, forever changed. Loved ones may live out their lives, never knowing. Some say that there are still American soldiers being held prisoner incognito in various places. We may never know. I hope and pray if that is true, that their captors experience the ultimate in pain and eternal suffering for daring to take an American.

We fought for EVERYONE in America, (even these whining buttheads) so they could remain Free. They need to learn some respect. However, I cannot forgive the slights piled on our proud warriors. God tells us to forgive. I realize I am not perfect.

Showing disrespect for our military members I can not and will not forgive.

strange article. Opinions not all fact.

the pow/mia is simply started with viet nam, it is still a category of any war today, established geneva war rules to go with it.

ww2 needed it too...big gov't has to go slow to catch up.

I am a veteran btw. Gulf 1 era crew chief.

There will always be those who milk our fine country for everything it is worth while at the same time piss and moan every chance they get when they have to work for something instead of having it handed out for free.

Progressives are trying desperately to rewrite history before our very eyes. First, the "rebel" flag, now the POW/MIA flag.

The AMERICAN flag is next - mark my words ... :nonod:

They seem to WANT a fight ....

Saw this being discussed on the idiot box the other day. P'OD enough I couldn't even stand to watch after I got the initial story down.

I have a big American flag by the front door. Looks like I better figure out a way to make room for some more.

FYI: The latest polyester US flag has lasted 3 years and still looks great. Holding up perfectly.

Where are you located in PA that the police have an issue with you flying a certain flag?

If there are any officers attempting to make you remove a flag on your property, there's a huge problem and they need to find a different job.

I fly my huge American Flag proudly on a 30ft. flag pole next to my garage. There is nobody that is going to force me to remove it, ever, for any reason.

For the Veterans who posted here, thank you for your service!

I have tremendous respect and eternal gratitude to all those that are serving now, have served in the past, or will come to serve at some point in the future. I was out to dinner one night a number of years ago and there was a young man out to dinner with his girlfriend. He was dressed in his uniform, likely back from boot camp, and was having a casual evening out. I asked the waitress for his check, paid it, and wrote him a short note to thank him. I told him that dinner was on me, but dessert and the tip were still up to him. I left having done something as completely anonymously for him as he was doing for me.

The next week, when I was back at the same restaurant, I asked the waitress how everything went after we left. She told us that another gentleman had also asked for his check. When she told them that the dinner had already been covered, he asked if he could pay for dessert. Apparently, afterward, the young man was absolutely in awe at what had been done for him. We should all stop and be in awe of what is done for us every day by those that are serving.

This whole idea of misunderstanding or misinterpreting history reminds me of being at UMASS and a foreign-born student writing an essay in the college paper about how it was racist and completely wrong that the symbol of the university was "a white man with a gun". It was quite the relief to return the following semester to see that he basically got his ass handed to him and wrote a complete retraction of his story. Apparently, all it took was for someone to point out that he should spend more time in history class where he would have learned that the earliest days of our country were supported by MInutemen (the university's symbol) who were... you guessed it... white men with guns. Once he got off of his high horse and read a little more about US History, he changed his tune.

Try to take down my American Flag and we are going to have serious problems. Myself and 8 generations of my family have served beneath that Flag since this countries founding and I don't put up with disrespecting the flag.

Is it just me or does it not seem like we've went to sleep and woke up in some upside down parallel universe where everyone is batshit crazy?

Yep, I feel like as the years go on American's have become dummer and dummer and way too entitled. Not many are patriots anymore.

I never said cops had a problem with it. I hang with several cops, not a problem. It's the anonymous buttheads who drive by and wanna trespass to deface that I have a problem with. ...like the jerk who cut 3 feet off my ham antenna.

You're welcome.
