Bose sub in 2015 LTZ?

Still wondering if you have a sub in your ltz with center console? Try this play your music. Turn up the bass a little or alot.. open back doors lift up seat.. place hands on floor and lean in.. position your head like the middle of the cab.. enjoy you have a sub in your ltz

ill take some pics tomorrow. you run a power wire to battery and ground goes behind driver kick panel and you tap into the speaker wires for lf door behind driver kick panel also. there is a pass thru for power wire where the main harness goes thru the firewall.

here are a couple pics. couldn't really get a pic of where I tapped into speaker wire I have that area all taped back up like factory.

and where power wire comes out of firewall. I then ran power wire across top of fire wire and secured to factory harness.

Ok I'm a little confused. If you have a center console and bucket seats you do or don't have the sub?

I don't believe I have one because I turned the bass up and I didn't feel any type of boom boom coming from the console area. It seemed to only be in the doors.

This is another one of those "I bought a truck and don't know what it's equipped with" threads......These are things you should worry about BEFORE you buy a vehicle.

If you have an LTZ trim with the stereo system you listed, you have a tiny subwoofer in the console area. Check your window sticker, EVERYTHING your truck is equipped with is on that sticker.

If you have an LTZ trim with the stereo system you listed, you have a tiny subwoofer in the console area. Check your window sticker, EVERYTHING your truck is equipped with is on that sticker.

Thanks for the info on the install. After I get my wheels on this week or next i'm going to get one of those under seat subs. Looks easy to install and as far as ive read its a great upgrade.

Thank you ChevyLife for defending this thread but I will try to explain a little better on why I started this topic so that maybe the trolls will move on to something else.

After seeing the comment I went home and verified on the sticker that it stated exactly the following:

No where in that description does it mention anything about a sub and it being related to bucket seats. And nowhere else under additional options does it say anything about the sound system. Only thru photos online did I see it had bose speakers.

So when I got in the truck I expected to see something like 4 door speakers, 1 center (possibly in dash) and then a sub under the back seat. But no I counted 4 in the door and 2 on the dash. This lead me to believe that a sub was not included as I have never seen a crew cab truck where the sub wasn't under the back seat but then again this is my first chevy. So after doing some research and with the HELPFULL comments that people have provided on this thread I now feel confident there is a "tiny" little sub under the console.

I know why you started the thread. I too had he same question as you that's how I found the thread. My window sticker says nothing about a sub at all. Then you got some guy being a smart A and saying to check the sticker lol. Trust me the thread will help a lot of people with the same question we had. Thanks again.

Never said anything about not liking the thread.......Just amazed at how many people drop $35,000 or more on a vehicle without knowing how it's equipped, it's unbelievable. It seems to be happening quite often. I hope people at least know their loan/lease terms before signing, that would be something one should know before signing as well.

FYI, there is no little "X" to click in the corner of the screen on TapaTalk. I wouldn't click on it anyway, I actually love these threads to be honest.

Makes one realize that the majority of people pay no attention to detail. All you can do is shake your head after reading some of the "my truck doesn't have", "what does my truck have" threads. The ones I really like are the PO'd customer that wanted something such as lower gears for towing but bought 3.08's, then they blame the salesperson, unreal!

Vehicle window stickers and the vehicle build sheet list everything, just like I said before. The easiest way to find out the installed options is to read them BEFORE buying.........very simple, or it should be.

Some people don't care so much for certain options, but take the truck as is because they're getting a good deal.

The Bose option is probably in a different part of the window sticker. Those looked like the standard features listed. There's another section that lists options too.

And FYI, there's a large thread in the mods sub forum on the Kicker sub info and install. Lots of helpful info there if you're interested.

I've been in a non-Bose rental several times and can attest that the standard radio is horrible. The Bose sub is adequate, but I will probably get the Kicker upgrade at some point.
