Front license plate bracket

Recommended Posts

Not sure of the hole size since I live in a no front tag state but if it is pretty bad then you can order a replacement center section of the bumper. GM calls is a "skid plate" for some wierd reason.

Anyone have pics after removing the front license plate bracket? If I remove them how big of a hole will it leave in my bumper?

There is some sticky tape holding the top and two rivets you'll need to drill out at the bottom. The remaining holes are just under 1/4 in.

Not a close pic, but if you zoom in you can see the two holes. I removed mine a little over a month after getting the truck. Your left behind with some lines of dirt that just wipe away. Looks like it was never there.

so i just attempted to take off the bracket...and wasnt really sure how...which i admit with some embarrassment and laughter considering i leveled the truck and installed the exhaust myself. it seems this pins or whatever the hell they used does not unscrew ?

Just removed the front license plate bracket from my new 2016 1500 LS. Three small, barely noticeable holes remain, two on top and one on the bottom. Much better.
