Hello Grunt,
While I hate to hear that your power steering malfunctioned on your Sierra while you were driving, I am glad to see that you were able to get it towed to the dealership. Please keep us updated on the status of your truck and send us a PM should you need further assistance.
Kindest Regards,
Blair E.

My power steering will hang up sometimes. Especially on interstate ramps at high speeds. I can let go of the wheel on a ramp and the wheel will stay turned for a short time before straightening out. I plan on asking the dealer about it when I go in for my first oil change.

We did, too. First "extended" warranty I've bought in years. Hope neither of us ever need it :)

I have a '15 LTZ Z71 and my does the same thing. I brought it to the shop and they can't find a problem or duplicate it. Have you gotten an answer, or does anyone have any suggestions??

I took it in yesterday and got the same response you did.

I am going to try and video mine. It's obvious that the wheel is sticking.

I live about an hour from the dealer and told them "I didn't just drive 2 hours out of my way (1 each direction) for something that isn't wrong with the car. It actually makes me nervous since it only happens on the highway and I am thinking it could be dangerous if it is a long turn on the highway and it hangs up.

I am going back first thing tomorrow am and will go out on the road with one of the service techs to show them what happens. Hopefully it actually does it with him in the car.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest, let him drive in the same conditions as you when it happens. Same road, time of day if possible.
