How Often Do You Wash Your Truck?

My own personal opinion is that silver has generally been the color that looked "least dirty" of any of the colors of vehicles I've owned.

I've never owned a silver vehicle...However I have had sandy metallic colored one and it was awesome!

I try to wash my two vehicles once a week, unfortunately I don't have the time to do this as often as I'd like. It get even trickier in the wintertime because I have to go to the coin wash. I really try to do it once a week when the snow flies to get all the salt and crap off of it.

I really hate it when my cars are crusted in white salt

Thanks! Well I'm retired so I've got plenty of time to run up to the car wash.

Back when I had 4 boys living at home and I was working 50 hours a week, my cars were "white crusted" too.

I always hated that. I used to go out in the garage and use Optimum No Rinse car wash just to get the big stuff off. Then I'd go right back out and get it white crusty again!

I always wash at least twice a week, and during the winter I hit the underside, wheel wells etc... with a pressure washer as well before the wash. I hate driving dirty vehicles.

I'm right there with you. Utah loves to salt the roads instead of plowing. I wash immediately after the snow stops. Can't stand having salt all over, it'll eat everything. Summer time it's once a week. I'm with Sierra89 too, I have a monthly pass and get my money's worth for sure!

Just washed mine tonight... only truck on the street not covered in salt but that will change tomorrow morning with the snow moving in..

Mine is washed at least once if not twice a week. Once in a great while 3 times a week. I have a monthly pass that pays for itself in the amount of use I get out of it. Luckily in CA they sand the roads instead of using salt on the roadways.

Theres no such things as monthly pass around here. You do it yourself or go to automatics. Actually have only seen 1 place that actually details vehicles, they may have a monthly deal but idk i havent called yet.

So when i can its usually every other week in the summer and winter maybe once a month. Riding through touchless gets expensive in winter $13 a go : /

If it's just dusty and I've got a coating on it.... I will snow foam it, then rinse it, then blow dry it a couple of times a week and never have to touch it with a towel.
