What 4 door sports car should I get?

I'm looking into getting a sports car, and I want to go with a 4 door. Looking to do something different than the "mustang" or "camaro" route. Also, I've got 3 kids so it would be a better selling option to the boss if she knows there is room for the kids.

I've always been a fan of the CTS-V and G8's. I would really want to have rear wheel drive and a clutch. Outside of that, I'm open to options. What do you guys think?

I like the sleeper effect of the current SS. 6spd & magnetic ride control. But they are not cheap, do not know what resale will be in 5 yrs or if parts availability will be an issue down the road.

Think there is a member here who has a 2015 or 2016 on order?

This guy has posted several videos with qtr mile times.

Well personally if I were to get a sports car/muscle car/pony car I would get 2 door, but if I wanted a 4 door I would go to the SS also. Looks like a normal sedan until you get on it and I was surprised to find out that they offer it in manual. I'm not saying that just because I'm die-hard GM and Chevy, but the only other performance sedan still made is the Charger and even though the new'15 Chargers look better, it still doesn't look like a complete sleeper like the SS.

I know you're worried about parts availability, but the G8 isn't even made anymore since it's a Pontiac. They use the same engine as the Camaro SS so engine parts shouldn't be hard to find. The only downside is that at least around my area I haven't seen any SSs on the road so it's hard to say how much of a demand it is. Of course if I had an SS I would be happy that it's not on at every corner like there is with a Mustang, but I would want some out there and I haven't really seen any "in the wild" lol.

2012-2014 Charger SRT, hands down a better all around car for the money and they can be bought at a great price with ultra low miles used. I had one and MISS IT ALOT!. Power is unreal and it has great street manors. Turn traction control off and you have a drift car. Mine got 27mpg on a trip to the beach with 4 adults and the trunk loaded to the gills.

In 2 years If I don't need a truck, I'm going back to one.

Average mileage around town was 19mpg. With 470hp, you'll be happy.

Those are sweet! My only opposition would be the down the road parts availability.

I definitely like the "sleeper" effect. That's another reason for the 4 door route.

Contact this guy. Pretty sure (w/o reading the threads again) he has had both a 2014 & 2015 SS.

I am not on any of the Pontiac forums with regard to either the GTO or G8, but have not heard of parts being an issue.

Though it would be a concern as mentioned. Think the SS sells 2500 or so a year. The cool thing is that with that few,

you are kind of guaranteed a unique car in your(or any) neighborhood. Generally do not get that w/o the cost being above $75 grand.

Am also curious if anything is going to be added to the 2016? Have read a 1LE type handling package &/or a hp bump. Though nothing official.

& Stevens14, like the wheels you have added to your truck. Just noticed them writing this.

If your not hung up shifting, jeep srt, if you want to spend less check out other SUVs . I just bought an Hyundai Santa Fe runs pretty good closest thing to an manual auto I've drove lately. Hyundai Geneses R Spec, same thing inexpensive and quick.

G8, best car I've owned. Still question myself for selling it.

Geez, you guys aren't much for variety, huh?!?

I'm not even so much worried about the top of the line model, that could add to the sleeper effect!

2008+ E92 M3. (The one with the V8.) Supposed to be one of the best Four Door sports sedans ever made. Same with the E39 M5. It was the car GM used to benchmark the G8 GXP(/SS).

Even today, the E39 M5 is reguarded as one of the best cars ever made.

Both cars can be had under $30k now, cheaper than an SS.
