Cell Phone Holder

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a cell phone holder that doesn't mount to the windshield. Does anyone have one like this? Likes? Dislikes?

Not sure that I want to use the type that inserts into the vent as I don't want to block the AC

ProClip USA is who I always have used in the past. However, now I just use the groves in the center consul (sp) next to the power outlets.

my wife has this one in her beamer, http://www.amazon.com/WizGear-Universal-Magnetic-Swift-SnapTM-Technology/dp/B00PGJWYJ0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1436483205&sr=1-1&keywords=magnet+cell+phone+holder&pebp=1436483218638&perid=03F6S32ZXK42Q1NH015H

both are awesome, i however cannot use the 2nd option because at home and work, i have wireless chargers...dont want to mess with the magnet between the phone/case all the time i want to charge it.

This one only blocks about half of the A/C vent. It's actually in the perfect position. It's called the KENU AirFrame. Several manufacturers have models like this that are much cheaper. the KENU is all stainless steel and very sturdy. I have one in all 3 vehicles.

Use the cup holder

That is what I do now, I was looking for something to mount a little higher and forward.

The KENU airframe looks like a possible option.

I'm not a fan of anything on my windshield either, so I just use my cup holder or the top of the console lid.

I have a GPS mount that fits into my cup holder and works awesome. It's similar to this cell phone mount: https://www.amazon.ca/Macally-MCUPMP-Adjustable-Automobile-Smartphones/dp/B007GNNH3Q/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1503583017&sr=8-11&keywords=gps+mount+cup+holder

I've been using this simple magnet mount for a few weeks now.
Magnetic Car Phone Mount, APPS2Car Universal Stick On Rectangle Flat Dashboard Magnetic Car Mount Holder for Cell Phones and Mini Tablets https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077GSPW9N/ref=cm_sw_r_other_taa_1UQGBb6QE5FGA

Strong magnet and extremely low profile. The radio bezel is tilted slightly towards the driver which is a perfect viewing angle for the phone.

The vent is slightly obstructed, but the phone can be offset more if needed.

This looks like a great option... I have the proclip setup in my truck now but, it's kind of a far reach on the passenger side vent area... I will give this a shot, just bought it on amazon.
