Question for guys with helper air bags

I want to add air bags to my rear suspension as I do carry some heavy stuff and I don't like looking at the sag. I plan on getting the manual fill ones and here is my question. Obviously they come with line to run the fitting wherever I want but what kind of fitting is on them? Can I just use a high pressure tire guage to see how much air is in them?
