Cold air intake means the Air intake system has been modified, and if done correctly, allows more air flow into the engine for a little more power. "Chip" means it has a custom or modified computer programs altering the engine combustion parameters, also for more power, possible transmission shift points also. Rusty rockers means there is rust on the lower parts of the vehicle.

Hmm. What are the chances these modifications could cause problems lator on? It's a 99 silverado z71, looks nice, 3 in lift kit, dual glass paks, decent tires n rims, 212,000 miles for $4,000. Says timing sensor will need replaced soon but everything else good. Does it sound to good to be true?

No. As long as it's been taken care of. Since its has performance programming it has hopefully been run with 91 octane and you would need to continue to do so.

That's a lot of miles depending on the history. Of the truck. The engine could have a lot of life left but the clock could be ticking on transmission and suspension components, expect to need to make some repairs down the line. You Don"t know sure sure how solid everything is unless the guy has a stack of receipts showing its history.

Lifting a truck, even correctly, changes the suspension geometry from the original design and stuff will wear out faster and break sooner. It's just a part of having a modified vehicle.

Your first questions show you don't know too much about vehicles, find someone you know that does if you are worried about it, to look it over(even driving it by a mechanic for a pre purchase inspection) otherwise make sure you have some cash set aside for any surprises that may show up after purchases. Hopefully none will, but a lifted truck with over 200k, odds are there will be some.
