How bout guns are designed for targets, competition, and yes self defense.

Self defense can be just to scare off said person trying to rob you. I pray I never have to use one of my guns on someone, but if someone trys to break in my house , the sound of me pumping a shell in the barrel might just be enough to save my family.

Unfortunately no. The local range I go to doesn't allow it. I have been known to explode a can of tannerite or 2 at my uncle's farm though. Lots of fun!

Nothing at all missed sir. We all read your statement and are now well aware of your liberal, anti-gun view.

For all that came to the defense of the 2nd Amendment, thank you. It's really nice to see people stand up for what they believe.

This is soooo not my all-day life topic. ...and to be very clear: I am not against guns!

I'm okay with everybody's view but I have a question. So if someone says tools are made for repairs etc why is it a problem to just say / admit that guns are made to kill? (I expect more from a real man than just making fun of it!)

If someone really believes in having a gun and using it in a worst case why wouldn't this person just say 'Yes, my gun is made for killing in the first place.' Simple despite the fact that people use knives or tools and whatever they can use. I mean whatever people use to kill, a gun is still a gun, right?

The only thing I would wish for is that the 'good' people with guns take care of that gun making sure it doesn't end up it the hands of kids or some idiot. Unfortunately there are too many people out there saying they are law obiding and take care but they don't.

As for me I had a gun for a while and got rid of it. I know how many times I didn't / don't care enough about laws on a daily basis and that's why I am not the right person to have a gun. Especially with all the frustrated folks out there.

I am not a US citizen and for that reason I am not able to feel like you guys (sorry!) and on top for that reason I don't care about the 2nd Amendment, -- please don't get me wrong, because I really don't mean to p.i.ss anybody off. I just wanted to ask, no big deal I hope.

Sorry for drifting away!

cheers!

  • 4 weeks later...

Quote from the top Japanese Admiral in world war II about invading the US. A big reason(but not the only) Germany went around Switzerland.

Who's gonna? Who's gonna?

Something like "you can't invade America because there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass"? I don't remember it word for word but its something like that.

I don't know if the Yamamoto "quote" is fact or fiction. But Factcheck.org is an Annenberg Public Policy Center organization. I'd be careful about using them for an objective source. Way liberal.
