Roidz' 2014 Lifted Silverado Build

Recommended Posts

Figured I would start a build thread for my Silverado.

It's a 2014 6.2L LTZ

I drove from Salt Lake to Dallas straight through and straight back to pick it up. I traded in a 2011 Mazda RX8 R3. You could say there was a bit of a difference in the ride there compared to the ride back home.

Here it is the day I picked it up

Here's a pic of the RX8 R3 I traded in

It has a 10" Bullet Proof suspension lift with 38" Nitto Trail Grappler tires, 24" American Force wheels, and AMP running boards. It also has tinted windows (which I will probably redo the back window to a darker shade as well as tint the windshield when I get around to it.

I've since added LED fogs and now need to add matching headlights.

I want to add a tonneau cover, exhaust, tow mirrors all in the near future.

Here are some other pics of it

Wow, brand new or used with those mods? Looks beautiful. How'd that mileage and ride treat you on the way home?

Thanks! It had 7k miles on it when i bought it. It got right around 17 mpg on the way back. A little better than expected. The ride was great tho. Very comfortable and very smooth ride.

I need bigger wheels, love your truck.bro, looks killer

Thanks man! Appreciate it. I never used to be a fan of big wheels on lifted trucks, but if done right I think they look great on the newer GMs.

yeah the only reason I didn't go bigger then 20X12 is the price in tires,

I added an HID kit for my low beam headlights. Started with LEDs but after having issues with them staying on after starting the truck I decided to go another route and purchase the HID kit. I'm really happy with it after all of the headache and I think it turned out very well.

This is the kit I installed

Not sure yet, I was thinking about keeping the kind I have but go with a 24X14 but my wife wants me to get 24X14 American Force just shopping around for now, but will get some thing after next week, so you have a 38X13.50R24? Because I have a 12" lift and you have a 10" so that tells me that I can also fit a 38"

Either way I'm sure it'll look good whichever brand you go with. And yeah, mine are 38X13.50R24.

Do you rub at full turn, I rub at full turn on 35's

I've never heard or noticed mine rubbing, even at full turn or in reverse.
