4L60E Shifting Updates Done

Recommended Posts

I did the updates to my Supercharged Tahoe today and what a difference  :jester: The 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are super positive with the super servo kit(way better than the vette servo) and the up dated super servo for 4th is also trick :thumb:

I also installed a .500 oversized boost valve and a shift kit to finish it up and I also corrected the lock up converter failure from PWM issues. All  can be done with the trans still in the truck!

This not only makes my trans shift great but also corrects the weak issues in the trans that will give us failures later on with high towing loads or high HP use like me.

Consider doing this :hail:

Find the stuff and info I used here-

Adding to the above (good) questions:

Is there any driveline backlash when just idling around (like in parking lots)?

Is it 'too much' for every day use?

I'm _really_ interested in these mods.  My truck shifts like a slug, and I cringe every time I haul anything in it...  The tranny feel so weak.

This is not for the faint of heart-It chirps the 20 inch rubber and jerks you back at 30MPH under light part throttle.Super firm shifts-You can go lighter like with the vette servos and such.Good luck

I've heard some compatibility issues with Torque Management, and these super-servo's.. (and the TransGo SK series 'corrective' kits...)  all mainly on vehicles newer than '98 or so.  Basically the computer and the tranny mods fight each other.

Have you done any computer mods, SS? (I'm assuming the supercharger came with some sort of computer module or controller - do you know what/if it does anything to your tranny?)
