Tail Gate Seals

Recommended Posts

Anything new out there?

Need to do something before my next trip in the mountains. Cracked the windows on the topper, but still ended up with a talcum dust on everything. Crap does not come off.

As of now, no seal around the tailgate.

Hello! Does anyone make something that will seal the holes in the bed under the bed rail near the stake pockets? I think that is where the most of the dirt comes in on my truck. How about a seal under the hood at the radiator core support to keep salt spray off the engine.

Access Cover makes a complete bed seal kit that includes foam plugs for those big openings under the rails around the stake pockets. Those fit really well. I used them on mine. Then you have to deal with the drain holes at the front of the bed. Either leave them alone or use a little silicone to plug them up. Then there is the D shaped seal that is used around the tailgate.

That kit is pretty good overall, but I have never found anything that will totally keep dust out of the bed with a cap or a tonneau. But I live down several miles of pretty dusty gravel roads. It is virtually impossible to keep the dust out of mine, though the kit will sure keep a lot of it out.

x2 I haven't seen a bad product made by Access yet. I recommend this product as well. I need to order one for my truck.
