Just put a set Buckshot Maxxis Mudders, 285/75/R16, on my 2002 2500HD crewcab 4x4. They ride very well, are quiet on the highway, and pull fairly well in the mud. Haven't had them long enough to tell how much mileage they will last, but some guys at the hunting club have already gotten 35,000 or better mileage, with about 60% tread wear.....maybe a little more, maybe a little less. I was always a Buckshot or Super Swamper user, but they wore so much on the highway, and seemed to be prone to cuts from rocks. The Maxxis are an 8 ply tire, with a rating of about 3300 pounds on single tires, if I read the chart right. I will keep ya'll up to date on mileage, but so far, I am extremely pleased. The cost-to-value seems to be very good....i.e. 4 tires, mounted and balanced for $582.
