An overlooked part of applying a tire dressing is the prep - if anything with a heavy silicone base was used by the dealer it may prevent other dressings from being able to properly bond with the rubber. Also, increasingly more tires are very fickle about taking a dressing. Rubber compounds have gotten increasingly complex and varied as a result a dressing that works amazing on one tire might not do a thing on another.

I'd start by suggesing a proper cleaning. The tire needs to be scrubbed, aggresively! Our All Purpose Cleaner and the Deep Clean Tire Scrub Brush are a good combo for getting everything off of your rubber and even scouring spent anti-ozonant from the surface leaving you with bare rubber to work with. Once you've got the tire clean and dry then apply your dressing.

The Super VRT suggested above is a more natural rubber look. Doesn't have a high gloss, but it looks nice and dressed, plus its water based and offers UV protection to the tire.

The other option is our Tire Shine. Its a higher gloss dressing that will last longer than the SVRT, but it does contain some silicone (as pretty much any high gloss dressing will)

All the products listed are available here: http://adamspolishes.com/shop/exterior/wheels-tires.html

Until tonight you can also get 15% off using the code CINCO15. Any domestic ground order ships for $5.55 and if its over %150 it ships free!

Like Adams posted, CLEAN the crap out of your tires. Bleach White works awesome. And my favorite tire shine is the new Adams Tire Shine, the yellow one. The SVRT is great too, but IMO the new tire shine is killer.

I drive my truck a lot in the dirt and most of the tire products I have used just collect the dirt. I have gone to just scrubbing them good with a stiff brush and leave the oily stuff off.

I guess I don't get it. Why would anybody want shiny tires? Look at a brand new tire. No shine.

When I apply my tire shine I whip off excess with an applicator pad. This removes the high gloss and gives it more of the "new" tire look plus it doesn't sling the crap every where and makes the coat more even. The tire looks clean not shiny. I use either Maguire's hot shine or Aero 303.

Bought my truck on a Friday afternoon and brought it back from detail shop they didn't clean all the blue off and slopped tire shine all over. For a long time whenever it rained or power washed they looked really bad. Used a foam tire gloss at first now use Black Magic clear and wipe it on , my favorite was Eagle One tire dressing but haven't seen it for awhile
