Ceramic Tint

Recommended Posts

I used to tint windows for alot of high end dealerships in southern california area, and still do my vehicles and side stuff. They are correct the factory stuff doesn't block out the heat, just UV rays, we used to have a display with a heat lamp setup to show this. also your heat index if i recall is typically 38% heat blocked on 35% tint, about 58 for 20% and 70 for 5% which is limo. The only time we used to do ceramic was to match higher end cars like Mercedes that had a blueish factory tint. It also blocks out a ton of heat but is a pain in the ass to apply. Takes longer to cure as well, and is expensive.

Great input! Thanks for sharing.

He used a cam jet cutter and SunTek film. As well, informed me not to roll the windows down for at least 3 days and to expect some blisters, which will go away. So far, I'm happy with his work.
