Hello All new member in need of help!! Thanks advance

Recommended Posts

hello everyone new to the site im having a problem and wondering everyones opinions, so I have a 2004 chevy 2500hd 6.0 vortec . the battery was dieing so tested the amps and it was drawing 1.78 when truck was off, I narrowed it down to the radio fuse, when it was pulled it would drop down to .70 amps anyways I have my radio disconnected right now and now the truck runs fine when I am on the gas however when not on the gas it drops below idle down to almost 400 rpms and sounds like its is going to die and has died at red lights it then starts fine I checked the alternator and thats working so im thinking maybe it is the throttle positioning sensor or something along those terms , anyways hope this post isnt too confusing thanks again for any advice - Ben
