What do you carry for your CCW?

Recommended Posts

I've gotten the itch to purchase another pistol. I figure since I'm buying my fiance LWRC AR15 I should treat myself to a new toy as well. Any recommendations fellas? I love my P30SK so I've thought about possibly a P30L, Kimber 10mm, etc. Thanks in advance.

I love my VP9. A decent-ish 1911 is next on my list. I'm sort of over unique calibers and I'm sure 10mm will be one that can be expensive/difficult to find.

I found a guy who is selling his like new 10mm Kimber and is including 250 cases and die set. I just love unique guns and cartridges. By the way don't tell any hardcore HK fan boys you like your VP9. They'll burn you are the stake lol.

I used to be on HKPro and never had an issue. Every thing has it's nutty fanboys. The VP9 is awesome and IMO is the best striker fired gun you can buy right now.

Just purchased both a XDS.40 and a multiholster kydex. I have previously carried a Sig P238, S&W Shield9mm, XDS9mm. In that order. The Sig was picky on what shells it liked to cycle. The shield was good, not many complaints. It did have trouble cycling a few shells but that could have been a number of factors. I trusted it. The XDS9mm worked every time. Only reason I got rid of it was a family member was wanting to start carrying, and I wanted to try out the bigger caliber. The XDS40 is loud, with a little kick, but its not a gun Im going to shoot everyday. When i need it, it's there to do it's job. Hopefully that day never comes.

Glad to hear you liked your xds 9mm. Thinking about trading in my Glock 43 on one. Not a bad gun, just the hype was there for no reason. Yeah it's light, and shoots great, but IMO the Springfield XD series guns are where it's at when it comes to polymer guns. I prefer the dovetail safety like a 1911 plus how easy it is to tear down compared to my 43

I like the added safety of the dovetail as well. The XDs and glocks are pretty similar guns. I find both reliable, I just find the XD more comfortable for me. They breakdown identically pretty much. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with an XD or XDS.
