What do you carry for your CCW?

Recommended Posts

So far my alien gear holster has served me well for the time I've had it. I'm fat and it's still comfortable, just have to adjust it to your liking

I think I've heard of those before, just never looked into them. Thanks for that. Do you ever find yourself NEEDING a gun belt or does a regular belt work just fine? I'm sure the steel lining makes things easier should you need to pull it out in a tense situation, but I personally can't see much of a need for one. Could be wrong though.

I purchased a leather single clip IWB holster from Outbags. It has been a great holster and is very comfortable. I even bought another for my G19. For my P30SK I use a hybrid IWB and that is great as well. I've discovered I like a 15 degree cant as well. Another option for the G43 is purchasing a trigger gaurd from someone like GlockTech. Then you loop the lanyard around your pants belt loop and you can keep it in your pocket. I've personally never carried like that but have a couple friends that do from time to time and they like it.

I'll look into those as well. Thank you sir. As far as the pocket carry, I don't see myself doing that. Maybe once or twice on occasion, but I keep my phone/keys/wallet and lord knows what else in my pocket so don't want to have to sort through things to pull a gun out.

Yeah its really not an ideal carrying situation but i do like for gym shorts. Also here are some pictures of my G19 in the holster. When I get home from work I'll post some pictures of my HK setup.

I'm sure a gun belt would be nice cause my pants do sag a little bit but that could be because the weight of my XD. I just need to punch another hole in my belt and I'll be good

That looks like a nice holster. Is your 19 your everyday carry? How do you like the feel of it?

I switch back and forth between the G19 and HK as my EDC. I really like both guns and would have no problem defending myself with either. I do however find the HK to be more comfortable carrying for longer periods of time since its a traditional IWB with two clips and it distributes the weigh over a larger area. But the holster for the G19 is great for my drive to work and while I am walking in the building as its small and simple. Both holsters have their place in my EDC needs.

How do you like the P938?

I love it. Its very comfortable to carry and easy to conceal inside or outside the waist. Considering the size it is an accurate gun. I do only carry it with the extended mag. with the 6 round mag my pinky has nothing to hold on too and its just not comfortable to me.

Glock 43. Looks like a plain Jane but shoots like a beauty queen. Still looking for a single clip IWB holster that's comfortable as I don't always wear a belt. LMK if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks

Get a gun belt, if you have one you don't need to wear it so tight.... Wilderness Tactical is my belt of choice I prefer the original instructor belt.

I have a galco triton 319OoSgGmGL._SY300_.jpgI use it for my M&P for situations when I might want to take the gun off... Its comfortable but, not as good as my crossbreed supertuck.
