What do you carry for your CCW?

Recommended Posts

Only time I look at my gun is when I clean it, getting ready to practice with it, or am pulling it out of my waistband to put up for the evening. Yeah it may sound kind of cheesy "Grip Zone" but it doesn't matter much to me since I'm not staring at it all day

Very true I just don't like the idea or the looks of it. In my opinion Springfield is saying "Hey we can't compete with the Glock name, they've got a lock, everyone knows the name. Instead we'll stamp trigger words on our firearms to attract first time/novice gun buyers who are impressionable." I can't fault them for that its a smart move but it just looks dumb.

They're actually pretty good guns, just seems like marketing department got too involved with the design.

So I am the only one here who doesn't own a Glock?

never bought into all the hype. I carry my HK P30 SA/DA with 147gr Federal HSTs

Curios about the VP9 but Will probably add a SW sheild to my collection.

at home my AR15 SBR is right next to me. As well as my SW MP 40 also with 180gr HSTs

....love that round if you couldn't tell haha

If it wasn't for hype, bankruptcy laws, government contracts, and illegal arms sales, HK would have gone out of business already, but they're pretty close last I heard.

:)

I agree though, the Glock Perfection thing is BS. I own at least 12 of them, so I would know.

Same with FN if you think about it haha....

I know HK isnt the best... No gun is, but all the snobs drive me away.

Asked a guy at the gun store why he would recommend a glock when i was shopping for my 40 and he basically said that its easier to take apart.... I rented both.... Told him straight up.... The SW MP was miles better for me. He said it wont last...

So i went to my favorite online store to buy ammo..... Bought 1000 rounds and went to the range... He was the range master. I precided to just absolutely demolish the case of ammo.... Steel case cause it was cheap.

Only had a few failure to lock open and 2 or 3 stove pipes within the first couple of mags. Tho i had not shit this particular MP 40 before so it was brand spankin new. I shut his fanboy mouth up!!!

That is why it is at my bedside at home.

Not saying its the best.... But try one. Lol i like to diverse my collection. Like my 45 acp that should be ready in a fee months..... God Wilson Combat takes forever......

I have tried to own at least one of everything. I had an M&P 40 and an M&P Pro in 40. I got frustrated with the trigger and sold them.

I bought my Wilson Combat CQB used. Saved a good chunk of money and no waiting. Very nice guns.

Im warming up to mine..... If anything ill stick an APEX in it. I scrached the hell out of it in a class i took racking the slide on my belt i had my flashlight in my pocket and got it good. From the ejection port all the watly to the rear sight.

I was going to send it off to ATEI and have work done to it and have it ceracoated in like a sniper gray with black pins and trigger.

Thats what i got was a CQB!! i got tired of looking for a REASONABLE Colt M45a1 CQBP that i finally spent the money on a Wilson.

What are you guys finding are the most comfortable inside waistband holsters? Once I get my Glock 43, that will be what I carry on my person. Currently when I carry my 23 I have a kydex holster and that might also be why it's uncomfortable. I'm just looking for something that I can have inside the pants and wear it without much discomfort.

So far my alien gear holster has served me well for the time I've had it. I'm fat and it's still comfortable, just have to adjust it to your liking

I purchased a leather single clip IWB holster from Outbags. It has been a great holster and is very comfortable. I even bought another for my G19. For my P30SK I use a hybrid IWB and that is great as well. I've discovered I like a 15 degree cant as well. Another option for the G43 is purchasing a trigger gaurd from someone like GlockTech. Then you loop the lanyard around your pants belt loop and you can keep it in your pocket. I've personally never carried like that but have a couple friends that do from time to time and they like it.
