Beware of UPD

I had purchased the intake setup from Ultimate Performance and Design 2 weeks ago, I recieved the product and it wasn't what I had expected, I contacted them and returned it last Tuesday, Well, now I have been trying to call them for 3 days to check on my return and the phone company says their number is disconnected and they have'nt answered the e-mail I sent 2 days ago!

I dont know what the deal is, out of business?, new phone number?, I would watch out for this company before making a purchase at this time.

I will let you know more info when I hear something.

I ran into that with another vendor. The vendor would not even reply to my voicemail or email. I finally just sold the product to someone that could actually use it.

Please specify why you werent satisfied?

How was it not what you expected, its just a couple of plastic pieces?

Well if you check the web-sight, the picture that is shown for the Carbon Fiber intake kit shows the intake tube in Carbon Fiber, but until you recieve it you find out it's just black plastic, second I feel the system fit could be a lot better (the tube doesnt line up with the lid very well)

Im surprised that they havnt contacted you, they have sold quite a few intakes over at FSC.com and a few here also.

Well after a week and a half of trying to call and 2 e-mails I am happy to report I finally talked to someone and they have credited my account, so I can say they stuck to their word and would recommend trying them for a purchase.

Wish they were a little easier contact though

I got mine through a group purchase from www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com and was a little disappointed it is not REAL carbon fiber and the picture DOES show a carbon fiber tube when it is only black plastic.

I have had it about a year now and have been generally pleased with it. If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten the clear, smoked or black plastic instead of spending the extra bux 4 carbon fiber.

I have not noticed any increase in gas mileage (actually a slight loss) but it GROWLS more (probably reason for mileage loss??? :thumb: ) and has better perceived throttle response.
