a few ppl have looked into it, myself included just cause I was curious, and it can get really expensive. Not even worth it unless you absolutely need a sliding rear window

I understand its expensive, but i'm just trying to figure out if its as simple as window, motor, switch, two back trim pieces to allow pulley and motor and new overhead console trim. Are the wires tucked in the overhead console and do they run to the back window motor location on the rear firewall ?

I asked around as they could not find a truck with it stock. The slider was high on my must have list. I used it every day in my 07. They eventually said they couldn't do it.

No, but I have heard of a ton of guys saying that they have never even used their sliding rear window.

I've opened mine once in a year.

Chances are good that no, it's not that simple.

Even if you have everything there, the fuse, the relay (the switch is probably in the accessory switches below the radio right? I've never even seen one of these in person.) You will still be missing the motor, the glass/assembly and the BCM will not be enabled to allow it. You would need to have the BCM reprogrammed to enable that functionality, purchase a new aux switch set, motor, and glass.

Now that being said.. GM is doing things a bit differently these days. It's possible your truck is not even wired for it (IE, no wires running to where the motor should be.) If that's the case you'd need an entire cab wire harness and it would be a HUGE pain to change out and cost hundreds of dollars.

Now that aside.. if you wanna rig up a toggle switch and pull 12v from it, buy the motor, the window and make your own power slider, you can do that all day long.

If you choose to do it more power to you, certainly, write it up and tell others who may be interested what you go through but.. from the getgo, since I'm working on adding "Factory fogs" to my truck.. it can quickly become a money pit and a headache.

Yeah I wish I knew how much these trucks cant be added on, I had a 2002 stripped down sl I bought in 2003 didn't have anything after i was done it had everything factory, fogs, etc seems it was easier back then. If the truck didn't have it they just ordered the kit and presto done!
