Hello,

I am new to posting to the forum and am finally going to do a build thread for my first truck. The truck is a 2014 Chevy Silverado 4x4 Double Cab. It has a 5.3L and has 3.42 gears in the rear end. The truck is about 5 months old and has a little over 5 thousand miles on it. Just got the first oil change/service under warranty today and it was nice to see zero due for the bill. So far I love the truck and have had minimal problems with it if any.

Some mods that I had done already are:

-Cb radio install

-Rigid Industries Flush Mount Reverse Lights

-HID Mod Guy LED V3 amber fog lights

-VLED Cargo Lights and License Plate light bulbs

-Ebay brand led reverse light bulbs.

-Plastidipped the back bowtie

Near Future Upcoming mods:

-7-9" Mcgaughy's Lift Kit

20x12 Fuel Throttle Wheels -44 offset

35x12.50R20 Atturo Trail Blades

LED Light bar behind the grille

Eventual Mods

Rockford Fosgate 10" Subs

JL Audio Amp

Borla Exhaust

And many more to come

I am always open to new ideas, if you have any good mods that you want to share or how to make mods better please let me know.

Just got the wheels and tires in today and they are pretty big and look great next to the truck. Waiting for the lift to come in next week since that to was backordered. Will be posting and updating this thread in the next coming weeks when I finish the lift. Let me know what you think.

Put the lift recently and so far love it. Truck still retains the stock CV angles and a pretty good ride for a lifted truck. Would recommend the mcgaughy lift for anyone looking to put a larger lift on the truck. Next step is going to be adding some light to the truck. I am going to try to add a 30" behind the grill and 4 rigid cubes in the fog light position. If you have any questions or comments let me know.

I've got the same lift, but in black w/ the chrome inserts. After 8 months of having it on the truck and going through 1 Chicago winter, the silver powdercoat on the struts is rusting and the chrome inserts are also rusting. Just so you know, they don't cover that at all. Also over the weekend, my driver's strut starting leaking fluid heavily. It sounds like they're going to at least cover that strut. Hopefully you don't have the same issues I've run in to.

One question though, in 4wheel hi, on wet pavement I get a pretty decent vibration. Do you experience this at all? I haven't attempted 4Lo as I haven't needed to. After sending in numerous pictures and speaking with tech support there, they determined that I need to get a custom length driveshaft. Yet another thing they won't cover....

On a side note, your truck looks great thus far.

Thank you very much and I hope some of these problems don't happen but when I tested the truck out in a parking lot in a straight line in 4hi and 4lo there was no vibration or shaking with the driveshaft. So far the powder coat is holding up pretty good but it hasn't been through a winter.
