Start new job on Monday

Well I start my new job on Monday. I have been out of work for a little bit and luckily I had enough money saved up and I'm even happier that I get to keep my truck. That also means I can start thinking about mods again instead of sweating if I'm going to even have it in a few months.

Of all places, I will be a salesman at the dealership that I bought my truck from. It's White's Chevrolet and Cadillac in Roanoke Rapids, NC. They also sell Ford, Dodge, Jeep and Chryslers. So pretty much all domestics except GMC and I think Buick.

congrats

Can you test drive it haha

I wish, but doubt it unless I'm the one buying it. I've heard a dealership well look up if you can even afford a Vette before letting you test drive it. If I test drove one the rears would be slicks when I'm done with it. I don't drive as crazy as I used to, not crazy at all really, but I've also never been behind the wheel of anything that's performance so I'm sure the devil will stand on my shoulder telling me to roast em lol.

Never bought a new vette, but for used ones I know that's not the case.

I know the back when I bought my 03 silverado they had a new vette on the showroom floor and I was looking at it, pulled the door handle and it was locked. Salesman walked by and said "it's locked for a reason."

So you may be onto something there.

congrats on the new job and being back in the land of the employed.

Ya know almost 2 years ago I was fired very suddenly from my job and was out of work for a month and a half. I had enough tucked away in various places that I lost nothing (but my dignity and self esteem for a while..) It's rough. Best of luck to you!

Congratulations on the new job! Be sure to sell lots of our trucks.

Ya that's one thing I won't have to look up. With my truck and everything I've read on here I should have no problem selling a Silverado lol

.Like I said, that's just what I heard. Plus being that Suburbans and Tahoes cost more than a base Vette I don't know if that's something they do. So if that's something some do then it's to stop every car guy from test driving one just for the hell of it. I know I test drove an 06 2500HD Duramax a few years ago just for the hell of it to see how a diesel pickup felt like. Plus dealerships are privately owned so some may have stricter rules than others. I don't even have to drive it, just let me ride in one lol. Plus it's probably best for my license (CDL A) and job not to let me test drive one lol.
