I think he meant "spring" compressor.

 

Judging by the looks of you garage and workbench, you run a tight ship. I noticed you poked bolts into cardboard so you knew where they went.

Oh Okay yea I been using a drill press and a home made compressor from some steel and all thread and deep sockets. So far it's worked fine, I've been able to get everything apart.

I heard it is a good idea to soak all the clutches and brakes in trans fluid for quite a time before installing them.

Maybe someone can confirm if it's true.

 

I like your courage. I'd never pop the trans out of my truck and gut it on a bench.

Respect and good luck getting it back together and working.

Update,

 

Got the trans back in and everything put back together. Took it out for a test drive with no issues, shifts smooth and no more shudder.

 

I've only got about 25 miles on it so far but so far so good.
