Opinions on carpet vs vinyl floor

I was at the dealership and noticed a few silverados with vinyl or rubber flooring. I asked about it and they said GM is starting to do that more. I've never seen this before, this was on a 15. I was thinking about it and thought "well it might be kinda handy, we cover up our carpet with rubber matts and this would be way easier cleaning"

 

does anyone has this stock flooring and/or opinions on it

I've had rubber flooring on a couple of trucks and I liked it. Very easy to keep clean.

That's normally on the work truck trim levels. I don't think I've ever seen it on an LT but who knows

Yes normal on work trucks. I had it on a previous truck and loved it. Have carpet now and its so much harder to clean. Maybe not an issue for some, but i use my truck mainly for work and seems like its always filty.

That's where all these trim levels get confusing and have just gotten crazy. The one on the lot was an Lt all star edition. Leather interior, heated power seats, integrated trailer brake, 8 inch my link, 18 inch rims. Seems like all the trim levels are getting so mixed and matched you never know what's on what anymore lol.

 

Anyone experience anymore cab noise with rubber? I'd imagine the carpet would damper some noise

I think ribber is great for work trucks. Don't really think it would be a big hit for the wife/girlfriend/hooker, wearing her stilettos and dress tho

My last truck with rubber mats had a soft feel, like there was insulation or padding underneath. I didn't notice any noise coming from the floor area.

I love it, it is a no cost option, I only wish I could order it on a Danali!

 

We pay $400 for full floor mats for the entire truck which do the same thing but not as well.

Only advantage to wt mats is you can remove them to clean. Carpet will keep noise from bouncing around. Have wt on wifes acadia, but I prefer my truck with oem heavy duty rubber mats. Cheaper than wt on ebay, and are less stiff/plasticy...

I love mine. Truck is still dead quiet on the road. I have cheap rubber floor mats over the rubber floor just for a little added protection. Super easy to clean.

I wanted the rubber floor on my 11, but it was only available in work trucks. With a kid and a dog it would be much easyer to keep clean, like a truck should be

Wish I had it on my truck. We have several trucks at work with rubber floor and we rinse them out with a hose when they get real bad.

You can order an LT with rubber floors, most dealers don't stock them though.

 

I like rubber floors on a work truck, but prefer carpet in my personal trucks.

Love my vinyl floor l. Never having to vacuum carpet is magical. I just hose out at home or at the car wash and boom - instantly clean.
