The most expensive Ford Expedition ever

that's pretty much my own opinion about EcoBoost, its a good engine, with good Tech, but with Ford pretty much Shoehorning it into EVERY SINGLE Platform they have aside from the Super Duty, and hyping it to the point where they think its the best thing since Sliced bread, they will eventually Alienate the performance Oriented Ford Owner (because ; which GM and Chrysler will welcome with Open arms!

If they put it in the Mustang in what has been the V8 trims like the GT then I think most Mustang lovers won't like it. There's not a whole lot of room left for performance upgrading with a V6 that's already turboed. The best Mustang engine yet has been the Coyote 5.0, it's not a huge engine but it has a lot of a performance ceiling. Also I haven't seen much aftermarket got the Ecoboost.

The most you can do with an Ecoboost is Bolt ons, bigger turbos, and tune the PCM. And even then, there aren't many people that tune Ecoboosts.

I hate to say it but at the end there is no replacement for displacement.

I've seen 1100ccm Honda bike engines with turbo, NOS and what do you know. I think it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 350hp.

350hp will move a truck. Sure....

Have to love the EcoBoost...There's nothing like an engine that gets it's sound from stereo speakers!

Ford needs to wake up and have that engine as an option, not their standard. Not sure about the F150 guys but there is no way I would own a pickup with V6, turbo or not, it's not my cup of tea. A full size pickup should have a full size engine, the V8 should be the standard with the 6's as an option.

If you turned up the volume did the "engine" get louder?

Has the hater I mean OP seen what a loaded Tahoe or surburban goes for ? Right around the same price . 60-70k . Shiat , a filly loaded caddy is about 90k

And also the 3.5 ECOboost is alienating performance guys ?

really people ? Are we really on this type of BS hate ?

With tune, DP and intake, the 3.5 guys are pushing 500+ HP and 550+ TQ . Not much to get another 100 HP and 100 FT tq from just a few mods.

Can you explain what we can do to the GM V8's that gives them as much ? NO YOU CANT! Unless you want to tear open the motor for a H/C or put a blower on it , all which make the drivability even worse.

Cmon guys, if your gonna hate , atleast do a little research

we're not hating on it, we're just concerned that Ford is going overboard with Pushing the Ecoboost 4s and 6s as the standard engine (and in some vehicles like the Expedition and Navigator, where it is THE ONLY Choice) in their vehicles, letting good engines like the Coyote V8 rot on the vine.
