Just got  a price on a lift

Recommended Posts

6" Superlift $1495.00

Install/Alignment $700.00

Drive Shaft $500.00 (whats the deal with this?)  The guy told me that the "new design" is a slip in drive shaft oppose to the bolted DS.  It's storming down here right now, so I can't get under and look at what he's talking about...is this B.S.?  He said that with it lifted as soon as I push the 4wd button and start down the road the DS can fall out?

2695 plus tax minus tires?  Is this High/Low/Normal?

thanks for the help

DO NOT pay that for the lift, check out www.ntwonline.com , you can get the Superlift, with dual front shock hoops and driveshaft for $1295.  I got my Rancho put on for $300, but that was a one time deal, I got a quote of $400 at the local truck shop!  I would say that is high, I didnt need a new driveshaft on my Rancho but mine was less than $3000 and that included wheels too!!

thanks for the help..

What's the deal with the DS?  I've been seaching and some people say they needed and other say they don't?  Is it true that the shaft is a slip shaft and not a bolted shaft?

thanks for the time

Hey Girth, Z71mudder is right, I ordered my lift from NTW.  You cant beat the price $1295 with driveshaft.  The new driveshaft gets rid of vibration problems and if you have the Autotrac on yours they recomend it.  They also state if you do not get it that you can only go about 25mph in 4wd with the original driveshaft.  Also the new driveshaft looks a #### of alot better.  And you cant go wrong with the dual shocks that come with the kit.   :chevy:

Yeah we are talking about the front driveshaft.  I dont have any problems with the Superlift at all.  For a 6" it is not bad at all.  But if you are near a 4WheelParts store they probably have the best install deal around. You buy the lift(ProComp) and they install free, at least I think that deal is still offered. But not sure if they include the driveshaft.
