Snow Pics!!

Anybody have a problem with their auto 4wd? Seems like when I have it in auto, the front is engaged like it is in 4hi. When I an cruising down the road and get into the throttle I can hear the front engaging. Also when I started from a stop and turned the wheel it grabbed the front wheels without the rears slipping.

Never had that type of experience with my 07 Av LTZ in 4 auto, just like in 2wd until the rear wheel slip ... then smooth transtition to 4 wd and then back to 2 wd ...

maybe have it documented at the dealer incase of future issues (pre-exixting warranty problem) you should NOT feel your front wheels fighting each other in auto unless your backs are slipping ... so your fronts are not disengaging correctly ...

New here but wanted to post in this thread. Took my almost 16 year old out to a deserted parking lot to learn slippery driving. This is the end dirty snow result. AADAF5C5-8638-47D9-900F-7A29A6CD9DC6.jpg

That is a great idea, you deserve the "cool dad" award. I spent my lots of time in parking lots learning how to drift/counter steer (not just blow donuts, but actually control the vehicle) when I was 16-18. Took my younger brother and now wife out to parking lots and let them do the same. While it may be viewed as being a hooligan(which is partially true) it really does help them learn to be a safer driver when they can handle a vehicle in the snow.

I only seen the snow once and it's only been in 4 wheel drive two times, once for the recall and once for this picture..... Lol I had to park in that spot.

What I like about the house in the background is that the garage is the same size as the house itself lol. Looks like there's probably a 2nd floor above the garage also.

Thanks, for a new neighborhood it's not too bad. We don't have the character of the older hoods, but also don't have as many fixes yet to manage.

I'm totally with you on this! We had a lot of fun, but hopefully he learned what it feels like and what to do when it happens (it's going to happen!) when he's out on his own.

I have to say, the roof lines look good but when it comes time to put up Christmas lights, it wasn't so much fun! :)

I would be nice if the garage was that big, but that's just a regular two car that has a bump out on the side. I think they're using the space above as a game room though, so not too awful.

Almost 11" in Mississippi.

My 2wd just spun but Denali worked great. Btw....snow melts and freezes into ice quickly down here and with no plows or salt....well.....nothing is going anywhere without chains.
