INSTALLING LIFT KIT NEED ADVICE PLEASE

Okay people, I have never done a lift kit yet and I have heard alot of pros and cons so help me out here. I have a 1998 chevy k1500 silverado edition with a 5.7. I have wanted a lift for awhile well guess what? I got one for christmas and it's just a starter. I have the new slightly bigger than stock, torsion keys and rear blocks. I have heard once you put this on, you start eating parts. So I guess I'm asking, what's the best way to do this? Put the lift on and only crank it to 2.5? Supposedly you can get a 3 inch lift out of the front, but not suggested. Any help would be great, thanks.

When you are talking torsion bar springs, yes 2 - 2.5" max lift on the front. Anything higher then that and you'll may start having issues with suspension parts wearing out prematurely, especially ball joints.

Okay so as long as I stay 2.5 in the front I should be good until I go bigger with a suspension lift correct?

No guarantees but the lesser amount of cranking the torsion bars the better.
