i hear yea..have to go to Long beach 2-3 times a week for work..they all suck down there..the 10, 210, 605, 710, 91, 5, the 15 on Fri afternoon going to Vegas, and Sun afternoon-night going to LA. just :banghead::crazy: i would rather drive thru NYC any day...

I think I'd rather stay out of NYC for the rest of my life. I drove thru parts of NYC many times and into Manhattan once. If I never have to drive in Manhattan again, it'll be just fine with me.

SoCal traffic really sucks. But it's where I'm stuck for now. Maybe forever... :banghead:

Try going into New York City in a semi with an oversize load. Even as a highly experienced driver, it still made my palms sweat, and I never fully calmed down until I was about 30 minutes out of the city limits.

I've done that but it was just a dry van load. Went over the GW bridge.I also remember being around the NY/NJ line at around 2 AM on a Friday or Saturday night and it was hell because everybody was clubbing. The people up there were the most impatient and selfish people I've been around. God forbid you try to wait for an opening while trying to switch into the right lane before a toll, they don't care so you have to force your way in. I never went further West than I-35, but from what I've heard, NYC is worse than Cali.

No argument here. California is mostly open highways and rural. There's just a couple big areas of urban sprawl and downtown L.A. can be a pain. But overall, the state is mostly of agriculture and mountains.

I was playing with the new dashcam today and had it out of the truck. I needed to run to the autoparts store about 1/2 mile away. I was tooling thru the neighborhood on a wide neighborhood street. This fool looked right at me and made eye contact, then pulled out in front of me. It was a full panic stop to avoid killing the idiot. I would have put my bumper about eye level with him thru his driver door. No dashcam footage. Dang!
