RAFFY's 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ (Hail Damage Edition)

How does your hail damage compare to mine? In particular the roof/cab corners up top. As for removing the rear door pieces I didn't do the great job and cracked some clips. My advice would be to work from the front (closest to the door handle) to the back. The front is where there are 3 clips that lock into the door. The other ones are just tabs that are super easy to get out once the clips are out. What color are you painting your interior trim? Down the road I was thinking about redoing the vinyl wrap on the rear doors with newer 3M 1080 and then having the blue/gray plastic interior pieces painted the same black thats on the Denali's. Thought that would be really sharp looking interior.

Haha well when I saw your pics, I definitely felt better about mine. My roof is pretty dinged up though. I work in the oil field in Alberta, so I wont be able to take some pics of my truck till next week, but I'll also be doing a build forum! And sweet, I appreciate the info a lot! Heres hoping I don't break any tabs on days off. I'll be painting them the same colour as my exterior - Brownstone metallic. I'll also be painting those grey pieces, along with the black interior pieces. And definitely man, I love the colour of your truck. The black would look great. Ill let you know when I start my build forum. Thanks again!

Please do, I'm looking forward to your build thread. I've already noticed you have an aftermarket hood.

Looks great so far. I actually did a little de-badging and dent pulling on the tailgate today. Currently I just have a dent puller like the one pictured below. It worked pretty good on some of the dents. But I need some different size pads, more pads and a T-Handle.

Good to hear man. The debadging definitely makes the truck cleaner IMO. I honestly think you got luckier with bigger dents. Mine are tinnier.. Idk if I'll be able to pull mine or not. Where did you pick up your dent puller from?

I don't know they are all a pain in the ass to fix lol. But I do plan on spraying my truck with Line-X so they don't need to be perfect. Just good enough to where my hand can't feel the dent. One thing I did learn is that I need a T-bar, a lot more tabs and glue sticks. I purchased my little kit off eBay for $50 or 60 shipped. I'll post the ebay link later when I'm on a computer. But the one I bought is very well built and not cheap at all.

Just went ahead and ordered a set of GoRhino RB10 running boards for my truck. Found that CARiD had them on eBay for $399.72 + $52 shipping. So I hopped on there website it was listed for $440 + $41 shipping. After a minutes in chat they matched there eBay price and lowered the shipping quote. Total came out to $439.90 shipped to my door! Should have them installed by the weekend if they ship out today.

Basically the BDS will ride a lot better than the zone due to the coil overs. Now if you go the basic BDS 6" kit the ride will comparable. I was going to get the 8" CST lift and run 37's but I decided on the BDS because of the factory no fine print warranty and the 560 warranty. Both are free and coverage and damage to the truck even if the dealer does not. One downside to my BDS lift is that the rear end will be stiff for the next 1-2,000 miles because of the new leaf springs. After that is when people say they seem to break in. Once everything is installed I'll bust out the work GoPro and take some videos of the coilovers in action and how the new Toyo R/T's handle off road. Also, before you purchase your kit contact Pacific Fabrication and see if they can get you a deal. They hooked it up for me, I got my kit for about $1000 off retail.

How much was the overall price on the lift? Do you know if they ship to Canada? I'll be getting the BDS lift for my truck and would rather the coilover... But can't justify paying another $1500 for front shocks

I paid $2659 for the kit shipped to my door.

I've been avoiding these forums because I'm really trying to fight the urge to spend money on the truck right now, but your truck is looking great, craff! I think I may vinyl wrap my trim pieces too since yours came out so good.
