First of all i would like to say welcome and thank you for visiting my build, please feel free to post any suggestions, questions, or comments. First I'll start out by telling you how acquired my suburban. It was my junior year of high school my dad and i had been looking for a vehicle for me for many months i was dead set on a truck i wouldn't budge even for a 2008 cadillac sts. I was in school so i gave up looking and just circles vehicles in the auto magazines. It came close to christmas and my dad said we needed to find something or he would pick it out for me. Well i never picked a vehicle nearing christmas, the day before christmas i spent at my moms and grandparents and spent the night over there. The next morning my twin sister and i drive to my house where i live with my dad which is only 20 minutes away, my dad and sister covered my eyes when we pulled up so i knew something was waiting for me. What happens next makes me feel worse than shit to this day. I get walked into the house with my eyes covered and we pass out gifts. I see i only have 1 gift a usb car plug. I could tell how excited and sad my dad and sister were handing me a key and what i did next was unspeakable. They give me a hug and tell me how much they love me, we walk outside and they saw how sad and angry i was. I called it a lemon, a piece of shit. I floored it to the next street, turned around, slammed the door and went inside. I broke my dads heart. I've only seen him cry 3 times in his life and that was one of them. I could not explain how sorry i was for treating him, and the car that way. He was so excited to see a smile on my face. I regret that so much and will as long as i live, i wanted to hurt myself for doing and saying that. He cried the rest of the day and i went to my moms. Im so sorry to my dad,. What a dumb spoiled little shit i was, i wish i got the belt but my parents aren't like that. These recent 2 years i have became very attached to this vehicle, it has saved our lives, where we literally almost died, I'm positive your trucks wouldn't have made it, the suburban showed it had a heart and cared about our safety and was not going to let us down. My dad and i plan to keep the vehicle no matter what happens, he wants it for himself when he retires, he says its like it has airplane controls, and has the most comfy seats he's ever sat in. This vehicle has so many amazing memories, countless ones that i'll always remember along with my friends that most of you probably wouldn't believe. Now this vehicle has earned a spot in my heart that no other vehicle can replace. I plan to do a full interior restoration and do exterior upgrades. Let me post my current specs. Its an L59 5.3 (first year), 4LshittyE, and a 3.73 with G80. It has all the features except heated seats, and computer controlled climate. I have an inperson blackbear tune, k&n intake, and built trans. I like this vehicle in particular because it has a fuel filter, cabin filter, the L59 has larger injectors and fuel pump, and onstar. Only problem is onstar is no longer analog. I would not trade this vehicle for a brand new 2015 high country i plan on giving it to my kid whenever they learn to drive, unless my dad wants to drive it. They'll love the power it has when all the cars on the road then are solar powered lol. I have a large collection of very rare 2002 suburban collectables and literature i will share with you also.

Now that you know my suburban story i'll began to post pictures of my recent purchases and share some ideas i have for the spring.

2 boxes stacked up. This is my new carpet. Directly from GM it will go in during the spring along with weathertech for the front, middle, 3rd row, and cargo area. This was a rather expensive purchase.

At 126,000 This is my old trans in a box the shop gave me. It had clutch chatter in the converter and the clutches were burnt but not slipping so i did a full rebuild. It has kevlar bands, vette servo, upgraded boost valve for higher psi, steel clutches, beast sunshell. I cant remember the rest. But now it chirps em into 2nd and gets totally sideways shifting. It drives like a new truck! So much tighter and smoother it feels like it handles better too suspension wise. The trans did not really fail or need a rebuild, or slip but the clutch chatter could be felt in the pedal. I'm very happy.

Finally bought the heated/cooled cup holders but ups broke them so i sent them back and filed a claim. So i doubt i'll get a new one they were flimsy and a real pos not worth 300$. If it didnt require drilling and gluing to the center console i'd buy another but i dont like the glue, m3 tape and drilling.
