Illuminated Door Sill Plates

Recommended Posts

Just need to find a buddy that has a Tahoe or suburban and try to fit it. Our go to a dealer and take a look and you may be able to see just from looking at out if they might swap

Could even pull off your panel and hold it next to one on a Yukon or Tahoe on the lot. See if there are any differences

I went ahead and messaged the seller on eBay. Asked if the dimensions and size of the illuminated sills matched those of the regular sills for the Sierra and Silverado. If they match that means they should fit. Hopefully I get a response soon.

Did a little reverse engineering. The base Tahoe uses the same sills as the Silverado. Hence, the illuminated sills will work. You may have to customize the wiring a little though.

Yukon sills should fit in the Sierra in that case correct? How's the wiring? I figured you could splice them in. I just don't know how they run, are they on when the heads come on or when doors open?

there is a power from under the black cover where the footwell is, one of the pin has the interior lighting. It fades in and out for standard LED strips I have installed, I will tap into that if these works!

Got them installed last night. They fit perfectly. Wiring was easy except for the fact that they don't come with instructions. But I downloaded instructions from GM. Have done them before but couldn't remember connector and pin numbers. The wiring was exactly the same as Tahoe/Suburban as described in the instructions. I don't understand why they don't offer them for the pickups. All you need is power and ground. I used a ground on the left "A" pillar and connected the power wire to connector 7 (gray) pin 1 (gray wire) of the BCM and they come on with the dome lamps. They look awesome but I can't get a good picture that really shows the blue color. I think I took about 50-60 pic's but never got a good one.
