Aftermarket guage install picture...

Finally got the voltmeter installed on my F250.  The tow package with auto trans adds a trans temp gauge to the stock cluster but deletes the voltmeter.  I ordered this one and put it in my dash today beside the 4wd switch.

It's an Autoguage by Autometer.  1.5" diameter with backlighting which I spliced into the dimmer switch.  Works like a charm.  I was nervous about cutting a hole in the dash but no problems.  Used a 1.5" hole saw and I'm pretty happy with the results-I think it looks fairly stock.

What do you guys think of it (not my F250, the guage :flag: )??

Only small glitch is it lights up white instead of green like the rest of the dash.  Maybe I can find a colored bulb at the parts store. ???

You might also be able to get a piece of transluscent green colored plastic sheeting to fit into the face if you can get the case off?

Thanks guys.

I may look into the green plastic.  The bulb holder just pulls out of the back of the gauge unit.  Should be easy to fix up.

I put a sunpro guage in, and after buying about 9000 bulbs finally found a green that was similar, i tried everything, eventually went back to the white though, it just accents better, and when street lights hit the green, they overpowered it and it just looked like i had a white light in there anyway.
