2014 Silverado 9" Lift On 37s - Review + Pictures

Recommended Posts

Looks great! do you have before and after pics of the 6" to 9"? I just purchased the same kit and will be stepping up from my PRO COMP 6".

Also, there is the minor cutting to make room, they do state that on the website, it's "almost all bolt on". The LCA mounts are too long to properly secure the 7" drop cross member.

How much did you have to shell out for the 9" and could you use any of the old parts ,mine has 6" fab tech

Nice truck mikemjohnson I have a similar set up but 4x4 and I love it. The Mcgaughys suspesion is by far one the better lifts on the market and well designed.

Here is mine with 35s on 22x12s with the front set at 9" 3c6df109e3c9faf03583d8e4aba4dd6b.jpg

Can you not run 37" tires on that lift Tyler ? I have a 6" fabtech but want to go as big as possible 37,38 or 40"

Figured I would follow up with pics of my switch up, I love this lift, I do have to say the ride was better with the PRO COMP stage 2 but that was to be expected with the heavy duty coilovers. That being said I went with the Bilstein upgrade and i am very happy with the ride quality. The look is great, I am still running 35's but I should be picking up some 37" Mud Graps this weekend.

great looking ride.

Just wanted to update everyone. Will roll 20K miles on my truck tomorrow.

No problems whatsoever.

I had made probably 8 long distance (500-800 miles) towing trips with this lift and these tires, towing a steel car trailer and heavy cars (Crown Vics), No problems, power is still there, no complaints. Have not rotated tires or anything in the 12K+ miles, and wear is even.

My only complaint, which is hardly a complaint, is at full crank while turning, it is like the angle the tire is at is too 'sideways'. So when you are turning at full crank, it is like the truck is skipping or not turning smoothly. Really don't know how to describe it, and it isn't as bad as that description sounds. I am only running 12.50 wide tires, so wider tires might fix that.

On an overnight test drive with a 2500HD Denali, but I'll put it this way, I like the kit enough and have been happy enough that if I get the new truck, I will buy their kit again for it.

Hey bro, what is the width and offset of your wheels on your 1500? Also, did you decide to make the jump to the HD? I can't decide whether to go with the 22x10-13 or 22x12-44 on my 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. I just do not want to cut the front bumper at all haha.

Raceline Rampage 20x9 +20 I believe

There is a guy on reddit who claims he has a 6" with 37s and no bumper cuts. He has posted pics but I cant wrap my head around that working. But supposedly that can be done as well

Question....I'm gonna pull the trigger on this lift more than likely....mcgaughys is telling me the track width will only be widened by 5/8 of an inch per side with this lift? Can the guys with the lift chime in please? I'm just not a big fan of the front tires sticking out 1.5 to 2 inch more than the back....seen some pics where you couldn't tell a diffrence and some that looked like the front tires were spaced out quite a bit but the angle of a pic can be deceiving, to the guys with the kot....is the track width increase on the front that noticeably diffrent from the rear tires with this lift set at 8"??? Please help as I'm ready to get this thing coming along

Bumping this old thread in hopes of getting a reply from the OP or anyone who has a 9” Mcgauhgys

lift with 37x13.5r20 as my set up will be the exact same as OP but plan on re-gearing.

And I need help regarding this situation main one is what kind of offset to get on my rims? I want 0mm offset but if a positive or negative will help rim fit better would love to know. Thanks all!
