Anybody on here work at a junkyard, body shop or know someone who does

Basically what the title says.

 

I am looking to get my hands a 2014/2015 GMC Sierra SLT headlight (the one with the LED's). I don't care if it's broken as long as the LED's are intact and the electrical associated with the LED's is intact. The lens can be busted, the tabs can all be broken, etc. I am looking to tear one apart and try to figure out how these LED's work and don't want to experiment on my own!

Good luck the 14/15 parts are pretty hard to come by right now. Few yes ago I had a source but he deals only with cars and not parts anymore

I figured it would be hard but these trucks are getting in accidents somewhere! Maybe i should expand to autobody shops also. They may get a vehicle in that needs a front clip including headlights!

The only ones we have had in the shop has been fenders, bumpers and bedsides. No headlights, but I'll keep my eyes open as long as they don't have a core charge on them.

Good luck, part of the problem will be over coming the programming in the BCM along with the hardware issue.

Step one is education, then I will worry about things like the BCM

You can also check LKQ. I think they will search all their inventory if you email them. Have used them before with success.

LOL - Yeah you are not the first person to point that item out! At least we all know where to look I emailed the seller last night and offered him a lower price. Frankly I don't think its anywhere worth $125+ shipping with a busted lens and housing (HID modded or not)
