Stuck in 4 Hi

Hello All are any of you having the issue with the truck stuck in 4 Hi. My truck was in auto and switched into 4 hi and would not come out. I took it in and all they are doing is resetting the codes G.M has no fix yet, They told me everytime I use the 4 wheel drive modes before you shut the truck off switch it back to 2 wheel drive.

Their was a post about a member having it stuck in 4 hi after having the 4wd Trans recall done due to only 1 of the 2 part re - flash being completed. Others may know more.

It's a known problem it on Techlink and they well reflash your computer can't remember the computer but it's the one for the truck going into neutral. If you had that recall done before 9-7-14 I before then you need this done. My sales Lady dad and brother both had that problem you can put it in 2wd but stays in 4wd mode. I still waiting on my second visit to dealership since Tech missed the grinding noise from my frnt diff. service writer rode with me after service and said don't use 4wd mode because you have a problem. I had a friend drive my truck on New Years to hear and feel my problem and he said it almost feels like metal on metal grinding. This is really bad at low turning speed. He buys a new truck every 2 years and he like my dash and the style. He owns now a 2013 0ne ton chevy for pulling is toys. I told him to wait on purchased because of the quality problem GM has now.

Very strange. (to me at least)

 

I'm on my fourth Silverado, and I've never done this. Leave it in Auto a lot in the winter. My dad leaves it in Auto all winter, A friend said he NEVER takes it out of Auto.

 

I also saw an article somewhere that said Chevy designed it with the idea people leave it in Auto.
