And heres a pic of the damage the grill guard did to the fender. If you think that looks like bare metal, your right.

I agree, I never have been a fan of tail light guards, just something for brush to get stuck in and scratch up your truck...

Did that bare metal come from teh grille guard flexing backward while driving ??? If so that is one helluva weak guard...

Looks slick though...

No, the guard got bent when I hit a tree.  I was on some trails and had to take a sharp turn going down hill. Didnt make it. But, thats where the guard has been rubbing against the fender since it got bent. Im going to try and bend it back out while I have it off.

Good lookn Chevelle.  If you should decide to make it an SS let me know I have all the Chrome from my 67 around here some place.  I pulled all the chrome off of mine I  liked the clean look of it a lot more after I got the holes filled up. How quick does she go and what motor, and trans?

I think last run she made was 10.70 at 155mph in the 1/4. Its been a few years since she has been at the track. But, she has a 377 and a powerglide. Im switching over to a blown 468 and thinking about either a 400 or a 4spd. I am going to put her back on the street after 22 years.
