Gatoroi's 2014 AT build thread

It all started with my 2013 Silverado. Took it in to get some warranty work to fix the horns.

While I was waiting for the tech to finish up I walked around the lot and I couldn't help the urge to drive around the only 2014 All Terrain they had on the lot. I wanted silver but white was the only thing around. Ended up walking away with my AT later that day.

Couple months went by and I was getting that lift itch again. Took it by my local custom shop and had them put on a 7" Fabtech lift, 35" Lexani Mud beast tires and tint on windows.

Next came lower valence removed and plasti dipped my wheels.

Added black gloss vinyl between windows for a better flowing look.

Debadged the SIERRA and AT badge on the tailgate and lower chrome and AT badges on the doors.

So far this is how my truck sits. Future plans include black out GMC on tailgate and grill, AMP Steps, black mirrors, black window trim, black or white handles, black exhaust tips. Hope you guys like it!

I second the oem finish on the wheels. I hate flat black wheels.

How are the Lexanis? Those are some cheap tires.

The lexanis are great honestly. The wear is great and the ride is the same as the toyos and other tires ive had so far. I got about 7k miles so far and i expect them to last till the 40's

I would paint them black and put them back on! I think it would be better than leaving it bare right there. Just my $0.02.

Glad to see you made a build thread! Curious to see what else you will do to the truck! I'm looking into the Lexani tires. They have an aggressive look and a great price!

Good to know. I've heard good things about lexani. The price makes me nervous, but keep us posted on the wear and ride. And I agree with Mike. No badges, but I would definately go back to the oem look on the wheels. Very nice truck btw.

Im thinking of putting them back on but painting the chrome on the AT badge black and the red part painted white.

How about painting the chrome part of the badges dark metallic gray/ Leave the red in the AT badge.

Blacked out grill and tailgate emblem

I think you should try making the chrome accents in the grille white instead of black! Buddy of mine did that and it looks incredible. All black just hides everything.

Btw, what kind of mileage are you getting? With the rim and tire combo I want to get, I may have to go with a 6" lift instead of a 4" like I originally wanted to get.

Thats what I want done. Soon as I find a good vinyl guy, because I suck lol

Lol just give it a few more tries! I couldn't wrap to save my soul a few days ago and I kept trying with a single piece of tail light film and I eventually was able to do it with some success. Granted I was wrapping one of the aluminum trim pieces from the dash with the film but I was able to get it after plenty of trial and error. Planning to try to do some more wrapping with actual gloss black vinyl soon.
