Mobil 1 or royal purple

No evidence or science behind it. You pulled cams out of 2 engines from different model year Mustangs, tossed them on a table and said yep, the oil screwed that one over. That's about as unscientific and inconclusive as you can possibly get. It looks bad for Mobil, however, if you dont verify correct oiling on that cylinder head or the hardness of the cams finish... you didnt prove anything. I don't even run Mobil 1... I have no loyalty to oil... just like vehicles.

Chill out, buddy.

We never did anything more than compare them. Nothing I've said relates to oil "screwing" anything up.

I also never said this was a scientific comparison. The point I was making is simple ........ "you can lead a horse to water ... blah blah blah."

Whatever.

You edited your post as I was quoting you .......... I'll leave it as is.

That's fine. The point you are trying to make and are very vocal about is royal purple is superior in protection to Mobil 1..... and all I am doing is calling you on a test that didn't prove anything about the oil whatsoever. Like you like to put. .. you can lead a horse to water....

Royal purple could very well be a superior oil.... not that I care.. I don't use it or Mobil. I would just like to see a hardness test done on both those cams... which are likely long since in a scrap bin.
