Installed new oil fill tube.......nothing exciting here :)

I like your idea, my old 03 5.3 had a similar set up I believe. My 6.2 is a pain to reach the valve cover to add oil. How much $ were the required pieces? Thank you.

Thanks. I think they are about $12 to $15 ......depends on the dealer, of course. You know how that is......

Got the tube today, what did you do to make it fit correctly? Don't want to mess it up, would you share what you did. Thanks you.

If you can tell where there is one notch, instead of two (so it fits in the valve cover correctly)......Just took a small grinder, all the way around the bottom of the tube, to make it smoother and just went back and forth from the cover to the grinder. Take your time. You can tell what it needs, if you try to install it now........you'll see what needs to be removed. :) Good luck!

Just installed my oil fill tube, as some of the older LS engines had. May help with oil filling. Just wanted to post. :) Thank you!

What a great idea! I see you have a catch can installed. I have the the same setup and the same oil fill issue. If nothing else, I'll use the tube while adding oil.

The tube is on order.

Thanks for posting!

I have two trucks at work a can get one of these off of. But my question is how does it come off...I tried to twist and pull but i'm not sure and don't wanna break it.

RT

Update: turn the neck counter-clockwise 180 degrees and I broke both of them because they were very brittle so I guess I will buy a new one.
