I'd be very curious what those commands are. i haven't ordered one yet but would likely add the oil temp one. i see the code for the KR in their list of standard codes.

i haven't played google ninja to search out other codes yet.

What x x commands. I want to play with different things on the scangauge 2

Here is the GM CANSF X-command for engine oil temperature. Wherever I found this it said "Values in parentheses are optional. Some vehicles require these numbers, others don't". I can't remember if I put the "01" in or not for the TXD. Might have to try with and without. The procedure to enter commands is in the manual: http://www.scangauge.com/support/user-manuals/scangaugeii-user-manuals/

TXD: 07E0221154(01)

RXF: 046205110654

RXD: 3008

MTH: 00090005FFD8

NAM: OIL

Notes: Degrees F (experimental)

I have a 2014 with the 5.3. I switched over to e85 three tankfulls ago. I've only got about 1300 miles on my truck and I've averaged only about 11% less fuel economy over regular 87 gas since the switch. I'm in Michigan so I'm guessing the e85 this time of year is actually e70. Paying about 20% less at the pump for the e85 so I've been happy with it so far.

What motor are you referring too? I thought all 3 ecotec3 engines in the new 2014-15 full size trucks we e85 ready.

Flex-fuel was standard on the 2014 4.3 V6 and 5.3 V8. It is a separate option now on the 2015 5.3 V8. I think it's still standard on the 4.3 V6 for 2015.

Flex-fuel was never available for the 2014 or 2015 6.2 (which is too bad...would have been cool to see what the power increase would have been on that motor).

One other thing I would add is that running E85 will keep your engine super clean inside. I'm working with Terry Dyson of Dyson Analysis. Today's newer engine designs and direct injection is causing issues with carbon build up on tops of the Pistons and valves. He is seeing cleaner engines through oil analysis when E85 is used. I wish I could get it around here, I want to run it in my 02 Silverado.

That's what I was wondering if the engine was actually any different. So what's different that the $100 gets you. Just like the dealer installed remote starts. $300 gets you new key fobs and a reprogram of the computer.

Im on my third tank. Just wondering if It would still be a good idea to run a catch can if running exclusively E85? So far Im pretty pleased with the performance. But around town I drive in M5 or M4 so mileage went to hell. But it seems worth it just for the "crispier" feel.

Sometimes when I'm feeling spunky I drive in Tow/Haul for that "crisper" feel too.

I DO TOO ! Thought I was the only one. Almost like it has a higher stall converter when driving slow and love how it will gear down when you tap the breaks when going down hill. :driving:

Well, I have ran only E85 for the last few tanks, and added the diablo intune while on e85. Was very pleased, and was running well.

Tried the listed above, mixing 50/50 e85+ 93. I can def tell a diff in the throttle response, and mid range. It's not bad, but it's not quite what it was on e85. I will check tomorrow to see if the cranking is better.

Pretty sure I'll be going back to corn juice for good after this test.

Just FYI if interested.

310racing, how are you continuing to like the Diablo tune on e85? Did you notice your engine sounds louder with that tune? Maybe its just me or maybe since I switched from the mpg tune, which didn't do anything for my truck in terms of better mpg. The Diablo tune feels nice so far.
