They want you to start off with the tank fairly empty, fill at least seven gallons and drive at least 7 miles after fill up I think. I'm on my phone but there's a giant thread called E85 refueling events that has more info.

I've been using e85 for 4 tanks. Its currently $1.699 vs $2.349 here in southern WI at the station I get it at. Better overall drivability and even with the mpg drop its still cheaper. Now that there's an e85 tune for the inTune I might have to finally talk myself into buying it!

Do you notice any full throttle upshift issues on your 1-2 when running e-85?

On my truck running gas it doesn't seem bad...nice smooth and precise. On e-85 it feels like a massive pause. When rolling about 30-35 and flooring it I get a dramatic pause and almost feels like the vacuum secondaries on a Q-jet opening up followed by brisk acceleration.

FWIW, my truck does the same thing on E85. That upshift time is insane.

Now that you mention it I think I recall that slight hesitation too but I thought it was just some quirkiness of the transmission. Thinking back driving it the past few days with the new Diablo tune for E85 I can't recall it doing it. I'll pay attention tomorrow when I drive and see if it does it or not.

Ran a full tank of e85 on my level v6 with 305-55-20. All Highway miles I got 13 mpg deviding the trip amount by gallons I filled up. The truck didn't feel more powerful, I did notice the slight longer start time and less mpg. Not worth it for me.

The only engine given a PCM calibration with a capability of producing more power and torque is the 5.3l V8. Other advantages of using E85 in other FFV engines are still realized over using regular grade and probably also mid grade. The high equivalent octane number and lower ignition temperature keep ignition timing from getting pulled with a high compression ratio in these engines. In other FFV engines, I would use E85 during the warmer months.

Installed the flex-Diablo tune Wednesday night, def. feels better, more noticeable power after 2k, and drivability is even better. I really love my intune so far, had it for 3 months.

It didn't on the non flex Diablo tune, but I notied it last night with the flex tune. I was hitting the rev limit also, so it was hard to tell. I changed a few settings, and will retry today.

I will go back to non flex setting if it still has delay, because it def changes acceleration times, ect

Ran the Diablo tune against the Diablo Flex Tune yesterday.

The straight Diablo tune feels stronger, felt like it had more bottom end, and pulled harder on top. The Flex Tune does have a good midrange pull.

I also noticed my milage was better on the Flex Tune.

Never thought of it as a rev limiter issue...just thought that it was tm. Due for an oil change this week or next. I'll bring it up.

Curious how do you have a regular Diablo and a Diablo flex tune? I thought the latest update from Diablosports just included the E85 tuning within the one Diablo tune?

I updated last week, there is a Diablo Flex Tune & just the Diablo Tune.

Really. That is odd as I updated too last week and only see one. I installed it and swear it felt peppier than the previous update but roads have been crap here and I also haven't driven the truck in 5 days to verify again how it drives. Guess I'll need to try and update again tonight.
