Any mileage drop when you changed to these tires?

Yes, 1 - 2 mpg loss. My truck is 18 CrewCab 4x4, standard bed with the 6.2 and not tuned. With the KO2’s I noticed slight performance loss in acceleration and in stopping but slight. From a total stop my truck easily spins them but the positive security I get from having KO2’s on my truck completely outweighs the negative. I’ve owned them all and the difference in quality is obvious, BFG KO2’s are the best period. My road trips at 70 mph within 35 miles gave me 23 plus mpg, at 75-80 I’ll get 21-22 mpg’s. I consider this great, it’s a truck. I had the 2014 5.3 and it was horrible on performance and the mpg getting 18-19 on same distances with Michelin defenders on it too.

To show you what my mpg’s are on the highway cruising at 70 mph with heavier than stock Fuel wheels rapped with 285/60/20 KO2’s here’s a 50 mile computer average

Do you have 6.2 or 5.3? Any fuel management add ons?

Nevermind I read above... Sorry just woke up... I'm impressed. I have 33s and a 5.3... average is 18.3 mpg. So I'm a lil jealous.

Same level here but I couldn’t stand the rub at full lock so I switched out the chrome clad wheels with Fuel plus 18 offset and very happy I did.

Thank you, it definitely puts a lot of smiles for the miles on my face. I’ve got the 5.3 in my wife’s 16 Yukon Xl and with it’s 36 gallon fuel tank, it’s our road trip vehicle which gets us depending on head wind, 23-25 on the highway. I almost bought the Denali but a neighbor of mine complained on the mpg’s he was getting on his road trips. In addition, our 6.2’s require super which gets really high out of Texas as well as loss of octane in higher elevations so I’m glad I got the 5.3, wife LOVES it.
On both vehicles the key to reliability and optimum performance is maintenance. I switch out the rear fluids and engine air filter every 10K with Amsoil on my wife’s as well as every 4K with Mobile 1 and Mobile 1 oil filter as well as Lucas fuel additive every other fuel tank just to keep things clean.

I don’t have an issue with rubbing. I did hear a little that sounded like it was rubbing a little on the inside felt, but I was at full lock backing up at an angle on a hill. Otherwise I have not had an issue.

I actually waited 7 months to replace the tires because I could not decide. Looking at these forums will confuse anyone.

The 275/65/20s are perfect IMO. I wanted the tires to look balanced with the wheel wells, I think it’s about perfect.
But I do think is personal preference. Aldo Iam a fan of stock wheels, although I do like the wheels GMC uses on their SLE trucks.

I got rubbing on my UCA’s with the stock 20” wheels. I accidentally ordered 22’s on mine and had them switch out to the chrome clad 20” like yours a bit different design though. Everyone I know said that after the lift and due to the new stamped UCA’s they too have had rubbing especially full lock backing up.

i have a white truck so will be posting pics here later.

I have 2.25" level with new UCAs. Running stock 22s with 285/45-22 tires. My wheels rubbed the passenger liner stock. so I took the heat gun and remolded it a bit.

Now with the level, I have plenty of clearance except I do occasionally rub the control arms. that happens at full lock in certain situations. I actually didn't know there was a rub until I looked and see evidence.

So I need new wheels. The UCA manufacturer says I need at least +14 offset. Most wheels are either +18-20 or 0. The wheels I like the most only come in a 0 offset. The 0 offset will push the wheel out almost 1" from the stock +24 offset.

If I go with the 0 offset wheel (9') wide, which tires should I run. 275/60-20 (33x11.5) or 285/55-20 (32.5x11.7)? I want to clear without rubbing or cutting. will both of these work?

Great idea on the heat gun [emoji1303]. I’ve got Fuel +18 20’s wrapped with 275/60/20 BFG KO2’s. IMHO, sorta wished I did 18’s now cause instead of 20’s reasons being more sidewalls for protection against wheel curb contact and once you go 275/60/20 it’s going to have stiffer sidewalls making rougher ride. I absolutely love my KO2’s, excellent wet/dry/trail traction.

do you think that size will clear on 0 offset wheels?

going from 22s to 20s and a slightly larger tire, should improve my ride

2017 GMC Sierra SLT Z71 4WD w/ Premium Plus package.

  • Nitto Trail Grappler M/T - 305x55x20
  • Rough Country 2" level
  • Volant Intake and throttle body

Wanted a little bit of rake in the rear instead of the "true" level but as a recent college grad I went with the cheaper option for the time being. My plans are to level it with Fox or Bilstein coil-overs and Cognito UCA's in the near future.
