Step light mod? Talking about putting the LED strips on the rockers to shine on the steps?

Alright, here it is, everything I've done today. Pretty busy but well worth it. Got it cleaned this morning at the local car wash (did a decent job).

Got back home and started off by replacing the front pads and rotors with Power Stop brakes and rotors severe duty truck and tow model

Moved on to the rear assist springs, easy install. Also hit the u bolts with the impact to make sure they were tight

Went ahead and covered the front and rear bowties with black vinyl, need to redo the rear bc I messed up cutting it so a little gold is showing

And last but not least I finally installed my bumper step LED's! This is my favorite of all the mods I've done so far, it just looks cool lol

How is your canned tune these days? Have you heard a light flapping like sound at all? I seem to have this thing where if I'm cruising at 30 or 40 mph and I give it gas but lightly; I'll hear some kind of rattling/flapping sound and then the engine rev's. I don't know if this existed before the canned tune. I did cut the exhaust valve thingy out when I had my exhaust done so it's not that. I did tune AFM out.

You still running torque management, AFM, and 20% throttle boost?

It is also on the Diablo Flex tune and I run 93 octane in it

Truck is running better than it ever has! I have not heard any flapping type sound like you are talking about though. Damn; it's weird sound--can't quite place it.

I can't believe the fuel mileage I'm getting on a tuned truck with 33s, it's on believable! I am averaging around 17.5 MPG on back roads and around 20 on the highway depending on my speed. And now it is a lot more fun to drive now, that's always a plus LOL

Yep! That is what I am getting too.

We're going to Texas next week to visit my family--be eager to see how it does long distance; bout 18 hour drive.

How are those brake rotors treating you? I'm worried with all the rain and moisture in fl that they will warp easily

I've towed a good bit since I put them on, and I've had to slam on the brakes a few times and I don't feel any steering wheel shimmy from what would be a warped rotor. They improved the pedal feel greatly and the stopping power is also a lot better, helps slow these 33's down as if I had stock size tires. Great investment so far!

I've towed a good bit since I put them on, and I've had to slam on the brakes a few times and I don't feel any steering wheel shimmy from what would be a warped rotor. They improved the pedal feel greatly and the stopping power is also a lot better, helps slow these 33's down as if I had stock size tires. Great investment so far!

Nice build! Been awhile since I've browsed this forum, missed it a bunch lol. One question though, I'm surprised you are running those rotors. The drilled/slotted rotors have been proved plenty times it's mainly all for show. Though, the slotted bro's out there prefer, well, slotted rotors for track use since it "cleans" the pad surface upon application. I used to run the same set up as you on my old 06 when I had it, after 25k miles of zero towing and not much hard braking, I noticed the drilled portions had small cracks surrounding some of the holes. Sent pics and email to the company, powerslot???, and they wanted to send me some new ones but I declined and bought new solid surface rotors and some EBC heavy duty pads instead. Not trying to upset you about your purchase or anything, but rather inform you to make sure you check your rotors often so to not have any fatal issues down the road since you tow and such.

Well on my 02 I had slotted and DIMPLED, not drilled rotors. Those were still on there to the day I sold it, around 60k miles on them. I get what you're saying about the drilled portion of the rotors getting cracked, I've heard that before as well. Only time will tell but I can definitely say that they have made an improvement to my braking distance (although that could just be the pads)
