When I started shopping around for my Sierra -- and believe me I shopped hard online and on the lots around town -- it became abundantly clear the most affordable options were anything but a CC. To save $150 a month I opted for the DC.

There are a lot of crew cabs out there that I just flat out don't like either. To me I have to look at it, drive it, wash it, and pay for it. I'm going to get something I want and like. $150 a month is a serious chunk of change, can't blame you one bit. I honestly never even thought going that route. I had a kid and needed something more roomy and spacious. It was the only my only consideration especially once I saw burbs and Yukons were $20k more.

oh believe me Mike -- I wanted the CC much much more than the DC. But when the dealership located the SLT with the leather, etc etc etc at the price I was willing to pay I was an easy mark. I like the looks of the shorter bed, too but after hauling my first load of free firewood I decided I like that 6'6" just fine! My first truck by the way.

I like both the short a the regular.

Just depends on what you use the truck for.

My regular cab regular bed hauls what we need inside the bed and the crew cab short wheel base is perfect for family and to pull camper and supplies in the bed like fire wood and bicycles. I like some of the creative pics I am seeing. Good photography.

150 a month more for crew over double cab? those were not the same builds at all...unless thats only over 1 year.

i compared a double cab to a crew cab with a damn near similar build and the price was only a grand apart at most.

would i have liked the standard box? yup

but i needed the smallest big truck i could get. adults sit in the back seat so crew cab was required. tight parking spots, driving on he 401 to work downtown...etc...etc..etc..

shorter overall length was needed.

next truck if my work situation changed (fingers crossed) ill have a SLT Crew standard box, but it just doesnt fit some peoples lifestyle, i also cant go more than a 2" lift or i cant get into some of my offices parking..antenna already hits, its my feeler gauge.

Yeah, took up two parallel spots the other day, and it doesn't fit length wise into parking spots in the garage at work, so I stick out a little. Def couldn't lift it and get into the parking garage. Turning on to some of the ramps it tight with the length. Just barely fits. But I figured if all the women fly around in Hummers and Burbs, the Sierra could handle it.

No offense to anyone but the cc and 6'6 are the best combo. You get the short bed or the extended cab and it all looks out of proportions. I just posted a bunch in the Stealth Gray thread.

No offense taken. I wanted a standard box when I bought my truck, but the only High Country with a 6.2 and the standard box my dealer could get their hands on didn't have a sunroof. I wanted the sunroof more than the 6'6" bed.

I initially didn't want a crew cab standard bed. I wanted a double cab. I'm so glad I went with the crew!

That's the color I wanted :(

Looks great. Though I am getting used to Silver!

I woulda traded a standard bed for 6.2. None to be had in SG.

I was in a tight parking lot over the weekend and I looked like a fool trying to back it in.

And I'm pretty awesome at parking.
