Keep the truck I've got or buy a new one?

I have a 5.3L SLT AT 2014. No problems.

If I were in your shoes, I'd buy when I wanted to. The later 2014 production has not seen the problems at the level the early ones did. Early 2015 models will be essentially the same trucks. You have to ask yourself if you want to wait continuously for some feature you perceive will make you happier or just jump in. My brother has the "wait for the new features" approach. He sat on the sidelines thru nearly 10 yrs of models. Then he bought my old 08. An 8 speed transmission isn't going to make your truck any nicer to drive unless you're towing something heavy up grades. Heck, the 6 speed in my truck is so seamless that I don't know what gear it's in.

If you always have to have the latest stuff, you're going to be buying often.
