Come on man, did you even watch the video all the way thru. Regardless of your google search this cop is an idiot.

He even told the guy after he shot him that he was stopped for not wearing his seatbelt.

Sorry things are going off topic here - I was referring to the video posted by Blackout07 where the LEO was shot, not the original video where the driver was shot.

Yes I do know that and I also know that LE has discretion enforcing laws. A little Google work indicates this perpetrator was NOT just a routine no seatbelt stop he was a problem character and had threatened in writing to shoot any LEO that stopped him.

So it was okay to stop him all the other times for not wearing his seatbelt? He had a class c warrant for the same. So it's okay to stop people for it if you know they might kill you or someone else? How do you think he got to that point? And how would it be known if a stop was "routine" or not without requisite knowledge of who is in the car? When should you make a stop and when shouldn't you? I'm not trying to be a dick but saying that a police officer didn't have anything better to do than his job is stupid.
