My future father in law didn't want me to park in the street afraid my truck would get hit.

I didn't park this way for a photo op either, but it just so happens to look great where it's at.

Very nice sir. The headlights look good!

What are you doing with your old mirrors? :D I like the silver mirror caps. I have chrome on mine.

Thanks!

Those mirror caps aren't silver lol, that's the salt coverage on the chrome.

I'm not sure what to do with them. I considered selling them, but I'm not sure yet. I don't even know what they go for to be quite honest.

The non-tow mirrors can bring in around $300-350 if they are still in good condition and have all the bells and whistles (power fold, puddle light, heat, signals, [not sure if there are any other whistles to be had])

I think I sold mine for $325 shipped. But they also had 13K miles on them but no damage.

EDIT: If you try selling them for $XXX + shipping, then the shipping cost is around $40. Thats what it costed to ship mine. Sent them in one box and probably more padding than necessary but I would rather overkill it on the packaging than get a phone call or email saying "hey I got my mirrors today but they are broken"

If you are willing to cover shipping, then again, keep in mind shipping will be around $40 (sent via UPS)

I was as speculative about the leveling kits as you were until I did quite a bit of research. I also run a ton of Mileage on my 14 Sierra. (Typically 45k a year) I was planning on the 2.50 RC level and a friend suggested the 3.5" lift/level just for the lifted look and not hit the pocket book too much. I talked to quite a few local shops that install these and did my research. as for the 2.5" Level . There are a ton of guys that have had these on with over 50k miles so far with no issues or pre-mature ball joint wear. I also asked about the 3.5" lift as I really wanted that one as well. A very reputable Builder and Mechanic I know that owns his own Speed shop and Lifts quite a few trucks as well said the 3.5" will not hurt your ball joints due to the fact that there is a Differential Spacer in the Kit that takes the angle out to alleviate any ball-joint issues . Yes this is a Spacer lift kit but ill ask you the question he asked me. "Are you really going to bury your truck to the differential or take it mudding?" if your just a weekend warrior that may take the unpaved road once a week or just to run it through the snow in bad weather a spacer lift will work just fine. in his Words " You will not hurt anything just using it as a daily as there is not enough consistent overreach of your coil overs to do any damage and the angle @ 2.5" is not enough to hurt your ball joints. Especially with the 3.5" kit the angle is actually better with the Differential Drop" I trust this guy fully as he has built many Lifted Trucks and lifted my Old Tacoma as well. The only Downside to the 3.5" kit is there is a bit of cutting that has to be done to the stock Bump stops and a small notch in the cross member. If you wanted to return it to stock you would have to buy new bump stops. if your really worried you can buy the Upgraded kit with Upper Control Arms and Moog Ball joints.

Side note I am not a RC Salesman lol I just literally did 3 months worth of research before I decided what to buy lol

And if you are Considdering a LED Lightbar check out OKLEDS.COM that guy sells a ton of light bars and I plan on getting the 30" combo bar Spot/Flood and the Wiring /switch from him. The Light bar I plan on buying is N-Fabs Front mount Light bar . Not only does it look great but you can call N-Fab and they will weld Tabs on it for any configuration you wish to put on the Light bar . Its also Cheap to at just under $150.00

Thanks for the info Mike! It's much appreciated.

I'll clean them up and see if I feel like selling them.

Great info! It's greatly appreciated.

I've been considering the 2.5" and 3.5" lift from RC. Good to hear there haven't been many problems.

I like the looks of the ReadyLift SST 4" kit as well. The upgraded upper arms look very nice.

I'm just more concerned due to our terrible roads. I caught air on both ends of the truck Saturday night on the highway from an expansion joint. Our roads are absolutely the worst... I'll put money on it lol!

Thanks again!

I'll have to look into these. I had heard of that site, but never looked into it.

Any pictures of that N-fab light mount... I've never seen photos of it. Will it fit the Sierras?

The brakes on these trucks, with larger/heavier tires leave something to be desired as I found out in a complete panic stop situation at 80mph.

I was traveling along I-696 E right before rush hour, in traffic. I was following a large Ford E-350 handicap van going approx 80mph in the left lane. When out of nowhere, the van slams on its brakes... and my foot was buried in the brakes trying to get it to stop. I saw the van veer to the shoulder, alowing me to see the line of taillights before me. Luckily the truck stopped in time, but I had written it off in my mind.

I couldn't see what was in front of the large van, but as I found out, it was a stoppage due to gawkers(of an accident on the opposite side of the highway).

I'm going to look into a different set of pads to gain some better bite and temperature resistance.

They didn't fade all that much, but just didn't have the bite like I would prefer. I know it's no race car, but it needs a bit more stopping power.

Also, I've been considering lifts some more. It definitely needs one with the mirrors now. I'm heavily considering the RC2.5", which is what I wanted before I even bought my truck. I'm considering adding Bilsteins as well to smooth out the ride.

I'm also planning to add the Rigid SAE fog lights with brackets at some point. That will round out all the lighting I want to do for a while. I just need to find the money, as my car is eating up most of my available funds.

I'm really liking the mirrors. The guys at work like them too, and think the truck looks better with them. They too thought the truck needs some more altitude.

Truck definitely needs some more height my friend[emoji106] also are there any breaks you are looking at in particular? I almost got into a front end accident for the same reason (brakes could be better). Since then I have actually started to drive with my foot on the parking brake. I figure if anything ever happens one day where I really need to hit the brakes, I can quickly engage it if my foot is resting there. Nice little footrest if you are 5'6" like I am.

I know Spurshot has some wilwoods on his truck. Gonna have to find out from him how they are doing and if they are worth the upgrade.

I'm not spending thousands on what is basically a race brake system for my truck. That's a bit much lol. I have a car for that.

I'll start with some new rotors and pads. I might have a hookup with an EBC setup if they have what I want in our application. A friend has some sponsorship from them for his race truck. I've never been a big fan of EBC, but I'll give it a try if I get a good deal.

It does need some lift. At 6'2" I don't have any issues getting in or needing a foot rest lol. The RC2.5" may be the way I go, or some individual ReadyLift components, more expensive, but seem a bit nicer in quality.
